Planar speakers in which the acoustic radiation surface of the diaphragm is formed into a plane have been put into practical use. This planar speaker is designed to suppress split vibration in its structure, but when driving at a particularly high volume, it is necessary to generate large amplitude vibrations, which may cause distortion in the magnetic path and diaphragm. be.

In order to prevent this, a plan has been considered to increase the radiation area of the diaphragm to limit large-amplitude vibrations, but as a concrete means, (A) the same type of flat speaker S 1 as shown in Figure 1 is proposed. , S 2 , ... to a speaker mounting member 1 such as a full board,
(B) As shown in FIG. 2, a structure in which the area of the diaphragm 2 itself is increased is known.

However, in (A), the distance W between the speakers S 1 , S 2 due to the strength of the frame 3 that supports the speaker mounting member 1 and the diaphragm 2 of the speakers S 1 , S 2 .
Since it is necessary to make the distance sufficiently wide, there is a drawback that the sound quality deteriorates due to the influence of the phase mismatch between the sound sources for the plurality of speakers. In addition, in (B), the maximum reproduction frequency generated from the diaphragm 2 is limited due to the large area, so there is a drawback that it becomes difficult to widen the band.

The present invention was developed in response to the above problem, and in a composite speaker composed of a plurality of speaker units each having a flat diaphragm, the diaphragms of each of the speaker units are placed adjacent to each other, and there is no space between the diaphragms. It is an object of the present invention to provide a composite speaker configured to eliminate the conventional drawbacks by eliminating the presence of a support member.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
Fig. 3 shows an assembly diagram of a composite speaker according to an embodiment of the present invention, in which 2A and 2B are flat diaphragms of a speaker unit with edges 3A and 3B around them, and voice coils 4A and 4B at the bottom. A frame 5 has screw holes 6A, 6B, 6C, and 6D around it, and a hole 7 corresponding to the shape of the diaphragms 2A and 2B in the center.
It is equipped with A and 7B. 8 is a top plate provided with holes 9A and 9B, 10 is a ring-shaped magnet, and 11 is a bottom plate provided with pole pieces 12A and 12B.

FIG. 4 shows a cross-sectional view of the composite speaker after the above-mentioned parts are assembled. The surfaces of the adjacent plane diaphragms 2A and 2B are arranged at the same height, and an edge 3 exists between them. There is. By using one of the edges 3A and 3B in common for the diaphragms 2A and 2B, the distance between the diaphragms 2A and 2B can be determined by the width of the edge 3. Further, although these diaphragms 2A and 2B are attached to a common frame 5, there is no need for a speaker support member such as a conventionally used bump-full plate. Therefore, the mounting structure of the diaphragm becomes simple, and by using the common frame 5, the strength can be increased. Furthermore, by attaching the diaphragm to the common frame 5 in this manner, fewer screw holes 6A and 6B can be provided only around the diaphragm as shown in FIG. 3, making the diaphragm easier to mount. Further, since only the edges are interposed between the diaphragms and individual frames are not used as in the conventional system, the unit is lightweight and no speaker support member is required.

Furthermore, the screw holes 6A and 6B of the frame are provided only around the frame, and are not provided in the area between the holes 7A and 7B for arranging the diaphragms 2A and 2B. Therefore, it becomes possible to ensure the distance between the diaphragms 2A and 2B.

By using an integrated structure as the top plate 8 as shown in FIG. 3, the magnetic path area can be increased compared to a split structure, so that magnetoresistive loss can be prevented.

In addition, the magnets are not limited to the integrated structure as shown in Figure 3, but can be configured in the same number as the number of diaphragms, as shown in 10A and 10B in Figure 5, or in a configuration in which there are more magnets than the number of diaphragms. You may.

By configuring a composite speaker by placing multiple diaphragms close together as in the structure of the present invention, the multiple diaphragms can be regarded as almost an integrated diaphragm, so the drive signal for each diaphragm is from the same sound source. It is necessary to match the phase by flowing the air to each voice coil in series or parallel. In this case, for the drive signal for each diaphragm, the sixth
Although the signal bandwidths may be shifted as shown in A and B in Figures a and b, it is desirable that the range of shift D 1 to D 3 be narrow. For example, for a diaphragm, a tone sieve type, etc. installed close to the floor or wall, a slight shift in signal bandwidth can be tolerated as long as acoustic radiation is not disturbed.

Further, the plurality of diaphragms is not limited to two as in the embodiment, but it is also possible to provide more than two, and in this case, each diaphragm can be selected to have a different shape as shown in FIG. This also provides the advantage that the overall radiated sound output can be easily adjusted.

As described above, according to the present invention, in a composite speaker composed of a plurality of speaker units each having a flat diaphragm, the diaphragms of each of the speaker units are adjacent to each other, and no support member is present between these diaphragms. With this structure, the plurality of diaphragms can be regarded as a substantially integrated diaphragm, so that the phases of the sound sources for the plurality of speaker units can be made substantially equal. Therefore, it is possible to prevent interference between the radiation waves from a plurality of speaker units, thereby preventing deterioration of sound quality. Furthermore, since a composite speaker is constructed by a plurality of diaphragms, it is not necessary to increase the area of one diaphragm, and the maximum reproduction frequency is not limited, making it possible to widen the frequency band.
