It is well known that a yarn breakage detection device is attached to a drawing/twisting machine that stretches undrawn yarn obtained by spinning polymers such as nylon or polyester in a molten state, and a number of various devices have already been proposed. There is. These devices can be roughly divided into two types: those that install phototubes in the winding section of the machine and those that use microswitches.

However, all of these methods have important practical deficiencies. In other words, in the case of the phototube method, not only does the light source become dirty due to scattering of the filament and oil, causing malfunctions, but it also requires labor to adjust and clean the light emitting and light receiving sections, and the detection section is expensive. The disadvantage is that the equipment cost increases due to the wiring work costs required for installation. On the other hand, in the case of the micro-switch method, the life of the micro-switch contacts is short, the holding tension required for activation is high and it is difficult to use with fine denier yarn, and the wiring work required for installation is also high. There are drawbacks.

The present invention provides a high-precision, low-cost yarn breakage detection device that can eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks of conventional devices.
Two low voltage bars A and B that are insulated from each other are provided in front of the winding mechanism, and one of the bars A is provided with a hook that is pivotally supported so that it can be raised and lowered, and the hook is separated from the low voltage bar B. During normal operation, the hook is located away from the low voltage bar B due to the tension, and when yarn breakage occurs, it rotates due to its own weight and locks both low voltage bars. The gist of this method is to detect a short circuit between A and B and the presence of thread breakage. The apparatus of the present invention will be specifically explained below with reference to embodiments shown in the drawings. The table to which the apparatus is attached in this embodiment is a drawing/twisting machine for drawing undrawn yarn.

The device of the embodiment has two low voltage bars A and B7 and 8 between the draw roller 2 and the rappet guide 3.
A fixing ring 15 having a concave circumferential groove S is fixed to the low voltage bar A7 near the machine base side as shown in FIG. There is. A lock portion 17 is installed on the fixing ring 15 to prevent the hook 9 from rotating under its own weight. The other low voltage bar B8 has a flat guide 10 for adjusting the tension of the running yarn 1.
is fixed, and the tension can be set to a predetermined value by changing the mounting position. As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the low voltage bar B8 is installed at a position 30 to 60 degrees lower in the horizontal direction than the low voltage bar A7.

In the apparatus of this embodiment, threading at the initial stage of operation is carried out with the knob 13 shown in FIG. 1 in the upward position. When the knob 13 is raised, the fixed low voltage bar A7 rotates, and the locking portion 17 of the fixing ring 15 lifts the rotatable hook 9 to the state shown in FIG. At the same time, the reversing gear 14 rotates to rotate the low voltage bar B8 in the opposite direction and move the flat guide 10 to the downward position as shown in FIG. In this state, the thread 1 is hung on the hook 9, passed through the flat guide 10 located diagonally below the hook 9, and is then passed through the rappet guide 3 and the ring traveler mechanism 4 to reach the sleeve (not shown) in the same manner as normal threading.

After threading the gold spindle, start low-speed operation in this state,
Switch to high-speed operation after an appropriate time. After confirming that the ring traveler mechanism 4 has risen and the yarn 1 has started winding, lower the knob 13 and the flat guide 1
0 rises as shown in FIG. 3, the hook 9 comes off from the lock portion 17 of the fixing ring 15, and due to the winding tension, the hook 9 rises above the low voltage bar B8 and becomes freely rotatable.

To explain in more detail the floating state of the hook 9, during continuous operation, a winding tension is generated between the draw roller 2 and the tip 6 in the winding zone. Therefore, by changing the position of the flat guide 10, the tension is divided in the horizontal direction, and the hook 9 is lifted to a predetermined position and balanced with its own weight. After that, after confirming that normal operation has started, the two low voltage bars A and B7 and 8 are energized.

If yarn breakage occurs during stretching and winding, the yarn 1 after the draw roller 2 is lost, so the hook 9 falls under its own weight and contacts the low voltage bar B8, causing a short circuit between the low voltage bars A and B7 and 8. . The short circuit is transmitted to the alarm device 12 via a known electric circuit, and the presence of yarn breakage is detected.

In the device of the present invention, the position of the flat guide 10 is changed in order to maintain a balance between the winding tension and the hook 9. In order to reduce the load on the yarn 1 as much as possible, the weight of the hook 9 is adjusted per denier of the drawn yarn.
0.01-0.1g is preferred. In addition, if a yarn breakage alarm occurs during operation, after processing the ends of the yarn 1, there is a means for locking the hook 9 at a position away from the low voltage bar B8, for example, lifting the hook 9 and holding it with a magnet 16.
The alarm device 12 may be reset by attaching the alarm to the alarm device.

Furthermore, it is possible to reduce the weight of the hook of the detecting section, and the winding tension can be adjusted using a flat guide, so that it can be applied to fine denier yarns as well. Therefore, the physical properties of the target yarn do not change at all due to the installation of this device, and stable operation can be maintained.
