本発明は、外装材と外装材との間に形成される目地の部

外装材の熱伸縮などにより目地幅が広くなったりすると
、目地カバーの密着力が弱くなり、雨水などが浸入し易

本発明外装材の目地部の施工方法は、外装材1開の目地
2内にコーキング材3を充填した後、コーキング材3の

ー4により覆うと共に目地カバー4をコーキング材3に
より保持させることを特徴とするものである。しかして
、目地カバー4とコーキング材3との二重構造により目
地2から雨水などが外壁内部に浸入するのを防止でき、
しかも目地2内に充填されたコーキング材3により高い
水密性能を得ることができると共に目地カバー4により
コーキング材3を紫外線などから保護して経年的な劣化
を防止することができるものである。また、コーキング
材3により目地カバー4が保持されているので、地震な
どがあっても目地カバー4の脱落の心配がなく、目地カ
バー4により施工者の熟練と関係なく、奇麗な目地2の
仕上がりを得ることができるものである。
以下本発明の実施例を添付図に基いて詳述する。
外装材1は例えばセメント系などの無機質の板状のもの
であり、外壁などの下地材6の表面に葺設されている。
外装材1開の目地2の裏面には金属製などの捨て板7が
配設されていて目地2から下地材6が直接露出しないよ
うにしである。この捨て板7の中央には全長に亘って突
条8が突設されており、この突条8は外装材1間の目地
2の幅を一定に保つ定規の役目とコーキング材3のバッ
クアップの役目をしている。更に、捨て板7の両端には
水返し片9が設けられていて水分の浸入を防止している
。このように下地材6の上に固定された捨て板7の両側
に外装材1を配設することにより突条8に対応して目地
2が形成されるが、この目地2内には目地2の全長に亘
って粘性のある流動体状のコーキング材3が充填される
。目地2を覆い隠すための合成mm’tiの目地カバー
4の裏面には先に抜は止め部10を有するアンカー片5
が突設されており、コーキング材3の充填後コーキング
材3が硬化しない内にこのアンカー片5をコーキング材
3に圧入させてアンカー片5をコーキング材3内に埋入
させ、コーキング材3により目地カバー4を保持固定さ
せると共に目地カバー4の化粧部11によりコーキング
材3及び目地2を覆い隠し、目地2を美しく仕上げるの
である。なお、fiSi図に示したものは、目地カバー
4の硬質の化粧部11の両側端縁を外装材1の表面に重
ね。
