Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide parts having superior corrosion and wear resistances, adhesion and high ornamental value by carrying out two-color finishing with a golden gold alloy film and a hard titanium oxide film having a blue color tone. CONSTITUTION:A stainless steel (SUS 304) watchcase 1 is coated with >=23-k. Au-Ni-In alloy film 2 by electroplating. The coated case 1 is set in a vacuum chamber and subjected to ionic bombardments by impressing a prescribed voltage in gaseous Ar to clean the surface of the case 1. The vacuum chamber is then returned to a prescribed pressure by exhausting the gaseous Ar, oxygen is introduced to a prescribed pressure and plasma is generated by impressing a prescribed voltage to coat the case 1 with a blue titanium oxide film 3 by ion plating. The part of the case 1 on which the blue film 3 is left is masked with an org. resist 4, the resist 4 is baked and the film 3 is removed except the masked part with a removing soln. contg. a strong acid. The resist 4 is finally removed with an org. solvent and a two-color finished case is obtd.

The conventional combination f1, which forms two colors of gold and fruit and fruit colors, and consists of gold plating and spine color painting on a 6ft part outside the clock circumference, is a combination using the alumite method.9 [Problems to be solved by the invention However, with the conventional method, it is necessary to perform the evening color painting using a masking jig, etc. For watch cases with complicated three-dimensional shapes, the cost of the masking jig is expensive, and it is rarely used in applications. It was impossible. However, there was a problem in that corrosion resistance deteriorated if the alumite was scratched. In addition, the appearance obtained by these methods does not have a metallic appearance and is limited to some low-grade products. Gold color due to gold alloy layer and surface #! Degree is 1 (v10L
By finishing in two colors using a titanium-based hard coating layer with IOi that has excellent abrasion resistance, scratch resistance, and corrosion resistance and exhibits the color tone of evening yellow thread, it has corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, and layered decoration. We provide all the high value exterior parts for watches.

According to the above-mentioned groove bottom of the present invention, the metal 19 has a gold color or a gold color of an alloy-saving layer and an evening color of a titanium oxide coating on the surface of a watch exterior part made of a metal-containing material. By forming the two-color finish used, the gold or gold alloy layer, which is a highly corrosion-resistant metal, ensures the corrosion resistance required for exterior parts for watches.

The titanium oxide film laminated as the upper layer is formed by the ion-blating method, but since most films obtained by the ion-blating method generally have relatively pinholes, the titanium oxide film is Before coating, it is necessary to fully plate gold or gold alloy, which is a highly corrosive metal, to ensure corrosion resistance. If the metal or alloy used as the material is a corrosion-resistant material such as copper alloy, zinc, zinc alloy, aluminum alloy, or iron alloy, copper plating, nickel plating, chrome plating, etc. may be used as the base layer of the gold or gold alloy layer. It is common to ensure a certain degree of corrosion resistance by laminating several kinds of materials.

The coating has a hardness of Hv1000 or more, has excellent abrasion resistance and scratch resistance, and has extremely good adhesion to gold or gold alloy as a rounding base layer produced by the ion blating method. There is little difference in the coefficient of thermal expansion with the solid metal or gold alloy layer, and there is no peeling phenomenon due to the temperature of the material after the ion-f1 noting treatment. Furthermore, the fruit and vegetable color of the titanium oxide film has sufficient decorative value as an exterior part for a watch. By masking, peeling off the film other than the masked portion, masking the film, and peeling off the organic resist, an exterior part for a watch having a two-color tone partially or entirely is finished. Said Ii! This process completely improves the corrosion resistance of the metal or alloy as a material, and creates a gold or gold alloy layer with the best appearance and quality, and a fruit-colored coating with excellent ffi adhesion, abrasion resistance, and scratch resistance by the ion-blating method. The present invention can be applied to exterior parts for watches that exhibit two colors in part or in their entirety. The thickness of the metal or gold alloy is economically or functionally optimal from 3 μm to 5 μm, but in the case of recesses, the film thickness can be reduced to about 1 μm, where wear resistance is not required. ′!
In the case of a convex portion, wear resistance is required, so depending on the shape, it may be necessary to add a thickness of up to 10 μm.

As for the composition of the gold alloy, it can be applied to all alloys as long as it has a gold-colored appearance. Next, a compound of titanium and oxygen element produced using titanium or a titanium alloy as an evaporation source and oxygen gas as a reactive gas can be applied to the evening-colored titanium oxide film produced by the ion blating method Cτ. The optimal thickness is in the range of 1 μm to 2 μm in terms of productivity and functionality, but even if it is expanded to the range of 0.2 μm to 5 μm, it is hard with Hv100'0 or more, so it has good wear resistance and scratch resistance.

The adhesion effect remains unchanged. In addition to the method described above, two-color finishing methods include forming a gold or gold alloy layer, masking the areas where you want to retain the gold or gold alloy color with an inorganic resist, and then applying a light color coating to the entire surface using the ion blating method. After coating, two-color finishing is easily possible by peeling off the inorganic yarn resist. Generally, the two methods are selected for the purpose of reducing the resist area and improving productivity.

[Example 1] A watch case made of stainless steel material (SUS304) was coated with Au-Ni-I by electroplating.
Temporarily covered with a 6μm n alloy film. The stainless steel watch case is heated with argon gas prior to the notification.
The surface of the watch case was cleaned by ion bombardment at 110 Pa and a voltage α5 Kv applied to the substrate. Next, exhaust the argon gas and set the vacuum guide to 3X10”P.
After returning to a, add oxygen t2×10 as a reactive gas again.
Introduced with a substrate voltage f 0.3 K v, plasma was generated, and the metal titanium board heating method was used to heat and evaporate the material, resulting in a 1 μm thick layer of fruit-colored titanium oxide, a compound of titanium and oxygen.
