Each terminal portion 1C to which the cord 3 is connected and separated is attached to the connector body 4 as shown in FIG. 2(4). That is, the connector main body 4 has a plurality of thank-you or groove-shaped terminal mounting portions 4b arranged at substantially the same pitch P2 on substantially the same plane of an insulator 4a. Particularly in the case of the connector main body 4 having a large number of terminal attachment parts 4b, the pitch P2 is small in order to downsize the whole, and its size is smaller than the pitch P1 of the continuous terminals 1. The terminal mounting work is completed by manually inserting each of the terminal portions 1C one by one into each of the terminal mounting portions 4b having the pitch P2.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, in the connector terminal mounting method having the above configuration,
In the case of the connector main body 4 with a large number of terminal attachment parts 4b, the pitch P2 is smaller than the pitch P1 of the continuous terminals 1, so the plurality of terminal parts 1C to which the cords 3 are connected are connected to the connecting part 1a.
It is necessary to separate the terminals from each other and attach them one by one to each terminal mounting portion 4b, which requires a great deal of effort and time to assemble, resulting in a problem that manufacturing efficiency is low.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a connector main body in which a plurality of terminal mounting portions are arranged at substantially the same pitch on substantially the same plane of an insulator, and a strip-shaped A continuous terminal in which a plurality of terminal parts are connected at substantially the same pitch is used in the connecting part, and the parts between the terminals in the connecting part are bent at the same pitch as the pitch between the terminal attachment parts, and each of the terminal parts a step of connecting the cord to the connector body; a step of cutting the connecting portion to match the length of the connector body; and attaching a plurality of terminal portions connected to the cut connecting portion to each of the terminal attachment portions. The steps of separating the connected portions from the respective terminal portions after being attached are performed every j1 time.

(A) Manufacturing process for continuous terminals As shown in Figures 1 (1) and (2), for example, a band-shaped metal plate is punched out using a press or the like to form a band-shaped connection having a plurality of slots 1d for feeding. A portion 1a and a plurality of cord connecting portions 1 connected thereto at approximately the same pitch P1.
A continuous terminal 1 having a terminal portion 1C and a terminal portion 1C is made and prepared. The terminal portion 1C is either a male type or a female type, and the female type is shown in Figs. 1 (1) and (2).

(B) Pitch adjustment process for continuous terminals In order to match the pitch P1 between each terminal part 1C to the pitch when installing the connector body 4 side, a crimping machine or a press is used as shown in Fig. 1 (3) and (4). The bending portion 1e is formed by bending the portion between the terminal portions in the connecting portion 1a using a bending tool, and the pitch between each terminal portion 1C is set to P2.

(C) Cord connection process The continuous terminal 1 is loaded between the upper mold 2a and the lower mold 2b of a conventional crimping machine 2, for example, as shown in FIG. 2(3). After manually or automatically inserting the insulating cord 3 with the terminal part sheathed off into the cord connecting part 1b, the upper mold 2a and the lower mold 2b bend the cord connecting part 1b into a gripping state. 1. Crimp the cord 3 as shown in Figure 1 (5). The reason why the cord connecting portion 1b is bent is to increase the pull-out strength of the cord 3. At this time, the upper mold 2a and the lower mold 2
