Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain bright pattern, which has high wear resistance and good weatherability and at the same time cubic effect and consequently contrive to enhance the commercial value by a method wherein a transparent resin film, on the back surface of which a bright-treated marking hot stamping is applied, is insert-molded as it is adhered to a mold. CONSTITUTION:An insert film 1 consists of a transparent resin film 3, on the back surface of which a marking hot stamping 2 is applied. The marking hot stamping 2 is applied on a part of the transparent resin film 3 and produced by bright-treating (metallizing) aluminum material or chromium material. The transparent resin film 3 is directly adhered to a cavity (a), while the marking hot stamping 2 is opposed to a core (b). Injection molding is done under the state as just mentioned above. By removing a mold S after the molding operation, the insert film 1 is separated from the cavity (a) and inserted in the surface of a finished molded item.

(Prior Art) Conventionally, as shown in FIG. 2, a mold S, which is a mold for injection molding, is composed of a cavity a and a core b. In order to insert a resin film into the indexed molded product thus obtained, a film C whose surface is printed, for example, is adhesively held in the cavity a. When injection molding is performed in this state, a resin film is insert molded on the same surface of the completed part.

However, even if the above-mentioned resin film is printed, it is not possible to obtain a metallic luster surface, which is far from giving a so-called luxurious feel. Also, even if you use a film that has been pre-deposited with metal,
It is difficult to express a metallic tone only in a part of characters or designs, and it is especially difficult to express a metallic tone at all when the shape is complex, and it is also difficult to obtain a three-dimensional effect.

Incidentally, hot stamping is known as a means of obtaining a metallic tone and a certain degree of three-dimensional expression. This involves holding metal foil such as aluminum or chrome on the back of a transparent synthetic resin molded product or the front of a paper product such as an album, and then pressing a mold with a protruding pattern onto it to transfer the pattern. It is.

Such hot stamping is advantageous when requirements for wear resistance and weather resistance are low. In other words, the hot-stamped surface tends to peel off with use and loses its metallic luster when exposed to wind and rain. Therefore, for things that require a high degree of durability, such as exterior parts of automobiles, it is not possible to use the conventional stamping hot stamp.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) The present invention eliminates the above-mentioned problem of reduced abrasion resistance and weather resistance on treated surfaces with metallic luster, and has a high degree of durability. The purpose of the present invention is to provide an in-mold mixing method that can also be used as an exterior part.

(Example) Hereinafter, an example of the present invention will be described based on FIG. For example, a mold S, which is a mold for injection molding parts that constitute the exterior parts of an automobile, has a cavity a and a core b.
This is the same as before. For example, the insert film 1 is adhesively held at a predetermined position in the cavity a. This may be accomplished by using an adhesive tape or by providing a hole in the cavity a that communicates with a vacuum source and drawing a vacuum. The insert film 1 is made of a transparent resin film 3 with a hot stamp 2 stamped on the back surface. This transparent resin film 3 is made of, for example, PMMA or PC. The engraving hot stamp 2 is applied to a part of the transparent resin film 3, and is made of aluminum or chrome material subjected to brightening treatment (metallizing treatment). The transparent resin film 3 is directly adhered to the cavity a, and the hot stamp 2 faces the core b.

Therefore, the desired molded product made by injection molding under this condition may be either transparent or translucent. Mold S after molding process
When the insert film 1 is removed, the insert film 1 is inserted into the cavity a.
It is then peeled off and inserted into the surface of the completed molded product. That is, the surface of the molded product and the insert film 1 are on the same surface, and the hot stamp 2 is interposed between the transparent resin film 3 and the molded product.
