In such cases, countermeasures such as treating the veneer to make it flame retardant or adding flame retardants to the adhesive used to attach the veneer are taken, but in reality, the amount of smoke emitted was large and the flame retardant performance was not sufficient. .

Afterwards, by impregnating the other (secondary treatment liquid) into the wood veneer, both react within the wood structure and become dispersed and fixed in an insoluble form.

This secondary treatment solution is an aqueous solution containing one or more of barium nitrate, barium chloride, barium hydroxide, calcium chloride, calcium phosphate, aluminum hydroxide, etc., and an inorganic acid may be added to increase solubility. This secondary treatment solution is impregnated into a wood veneer to disperse cation ions such as Ba5Ca, AI, etc. inside the veneer. At this time, in order to increase the ion concentration within the veneer,
It is preferable to heat the liquid to increase solubility.

This is to prevent the secondary treatment liquid from reacting with the primary treatment liquid adhering to the veneer surface during the subsequent impregnation method with the secondary treatment liquid, thereby preventing its internal diffusion.

Then, an insoluble, nonflammable inorganic compound is produced in the wood to obtain a flame-retardant wood veneer. It is appropriate that the alkaline treatment liquid has a pi of 8 or more, preferably a pH of 8 to 10. Further, impregnation with the treatment liquid can be carried out, for example, by immersing the wood veneer in a treatment bath containing the treatment liquid.

As shown in FIG. 1, a wood veneer 1 and a summer material forming material 2 are combined and laminated and bonded together by pressure using a concave-convex mold 3 to obtain a laminated decorative material 4 (laminated flitch). It is preferable to use a nonflammable material as the summer material forming material 2, and for example, a nonflammable aluminum hydroxide sheet colored in the color of the summer material can be used. Furthermore, a hydraulic adhesive such as urethane resin is used as the adhesive.

This decorative veneer 6 is highly flame retardant and emits less smoke, so when used as a surface decorative material for interior decoration, it has the advantage that the thickness of the base material to which the decorative veneer is attached can be made thinner. .

Next, this dyed veneer was immersed in a primary treatment liquid that was a barium nitrate solution, and after washing with water, it was immersed in a secondary treatment liquid that was a sodium phosphate solution. This was dried to a moisture content of 30 to 40%, and inorganic compounds adhering to the surface were removed with a roll brush. Then, the plurality of veneers treated in this way were laminated with a non-flammable aluminum hydroxide sheet (50±5 g/mz, bulb, 5% resin mixed) colored in the color of cedar wood, and A laminated decorative material was obtained by pressure bonding on a cedar mold using a hydraulic adhesive. This laminated decorative material was sawn and sliced to obtain a flame-retardant decorative veneer. This product had high flame retardancy and the amount of smoke emitted was significantly reduced compared to conventional products.
