Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the influence of bending in a strip itself smaller as well as to perform an accurate meandering correction, by setting up more than two units of a meandering corrector at the upstream side of an apparatus requiring that a meandering quantity of the strip becomes minimized, at the specified intervals. CONSTITUTION:An upstream side meandering corrector 3 is controlled by a signal of a meandering quantity detector 4 and a signal of a position detector detecting an operated variable of a downstream side meandering corrector 5. That is to say, the upstream side meandering corrector 3 corrects the position of a strip entering into the downstream side meandering corrector 5 to almost the center, while it has such an action as resetting an operating position of the downstream side meandering corrector 5 to the center. 時に下流側蛇行修正装置5の位置がストリップ1の中央
