て相対移動させつつサーマルリボンを介して印字
動作を行うサーマル印字装置において、 サーマルヘツドを保持し、そのサーマルヘツド
がサーマルリボンを介して印字用紙に当接する印
字位置と印字用紙から離間するリリース位置との
間を移動可能に支持するヘツド保持部材と、その
ヘツド保持部材を前記印字位置とリリース位置と
の間で移動させるように連結されたヘツド駆動部
材とを有するヘツド駆動ユニツトと、 サーマルリボンを巻き取る巻取スプールに係合
させられるリボン巻取体とそのリボン巻取体を回
転させる回転駆動部材とを有するリボン巻取ユニ
ツトと、 前記ヘツド駆動ユニツトとリボン巻取ユニツト
とをそれぞれ組み付ける組付部が形成されたキヤ
リツジと を備えたことを特徴とするサーマル印字装置。 (2) 前記ヘツド駆動ユニツトは、前記ヘツド保
持部材を所定の回動方向に付勢する付勢手段を含
む実用新案登録請求の範囲第1項記載のサーマル
印字装置。 (3) 前記キヤリツジが樹脂製であり、かつ前記
ヘツド駆動ユニツトが金属製である実用新案登録
請求の範囲第1項または第2項記載のサーマル印
字装置。 (4) 前記リボン巻取ユニツトは、多数個の部材
が一軸上に積層配置されている実用新案登録請求
の範囲第1項ないし第3項のいずれかに記載のサ
ーマル印字装置。
