Previously, cycle trainers focused solely on training the legs by simply pedaling, but now we have improved the saddle so that it swings from side to side at the same time as the pedals, which trains the lower back and abdomen (waist) at the same time as the legs. There are some known cycle trainers that allow you to perform physical training. That is, a saddle integrated with a swing support plate having a long hole is rotatably supported on the front part of the swing support plate, and is swingably provided on the upper end of the rear pole of the frame, and the pedal shaft is mounted on the saddle. A drive shaft connected to the pedal shaft through an appropriate transmission mechanism is extended upward from inside the casing integrated with the frame, and a trochanter at the tip of the arm rod attached to the upper end of the drive shaft is connected to the swing support plate. The saddle is rotatably engaged in the elongated hole, and as the pedal rotates, the saddle swings left and right around the rear pole.

However, the above-mentioned conventional saddle swing type cycle trainer has a drawback in that even when the pedals are pedaled at a constant speed, the saddle swings from side to side quickly and slowly. In other words, when the pedals are rotated in the normal direction of rotation (forward rotation), the saddle swings to the right faster and swings to the left slower, and the pedals are rotated in the opposite direction (reverse rotation). At times, the saddle was such that the right swing was slow and the left swing was fast. Therefore, in order to train the lower back and abdomen in a horizontally balanced manner, it is necessary to change the rotational direction of the pedals from time to time while pedaling, or to install a switching gear transmission mechanism and change the switching gear as appropriate while pedaling in the normal direction. In the former case, it is very difficult and inconvenient to pedal in the opposite direction, and in the latter case, the mechanism is complicated and the switching operation is troublesome. It was hot.

To explain the cycle trainer of this invention with reference to the drawings, 1 is a frame with a housing 2 integrated at the bottom, and a handle 3 is attached to the upper end of the front pole 1b.
is installed. Reference numeral 1a denotes a base cylinder that is integrally connected to the housing 2 and extends upward in an inclined manner. A drive shaft 4 is inserted into the base cylinder 1a, and bearings 5, 5 are inserted into the base cylinder 1a.
It is rotatably installed by. 6 is base cylinder 1
This is a support plate that extends forward with a base fixed to the upper end of a. Reference numeral 7 denotes a swing support plate to which a saddle 11 is integrally attached above with coil springs 10, 10 interposed therebetween, and a pivot 8 and a support shaft 9 located slightly rearward to the left are provided at the lower front part of the swing support plate. It is installed protrudingly. The saddle 11, which is integrated with the swing support plate 7, can freely swing left and right by rotatably pivoting the pivot shaft 8 of the swing support plate 7 by interposing bearings 12a and 12b at the tip of the support plate 6. It is provided in 13 is the drive shaft 4
It is an arm rod with a base attached to its upper end, and the tip of the arm rod 13 is connected to a pivot pin at the other end of a rotating connecting rod 14 whose one end is pivotally connected to the support shaft 9 of the swing support plate 7. 15. When the drive shaft 4 rotates and the arm rod 13 rotates together with it, the support shaft 9 reciprocates on the circumference around the pivot 8 on an arc of angle α shown in FIG. 4. Therefore, the saddle 11 is configured to swing left and right around the pivot point of the pivot shaft 8 within the range of angle α. In Fig. 4, P is the center line of the saddle 11, P' and P'' are its left and right swing positions, and A and B are the movement positions of the support shaft 9. 17 is the case 2.
The pedal shaft is mounted on the
8 are installed respectively. Further, on one side of the pedal shaft 17 in the housing 2, there is a driven clutch piece 20.
A worm 19 integrally attached thereto is rotatably loosely fitted therein, and a driving clutch piece 21 which can be engaged with the driven clutch piece 20 is mounted so as to be movable in the axial direction by means of a feather key or the like. The worm 19 is always engaged with a worm wheel 16 wedged on the lower end of the drive shaft 4, and the drive clutch piece 21 has an operating knob that extends upward through the through hole 2a on the top surface of the housing 2. A clutch shifter 22 rotatably connected by a pivot shaft 23 is engaged. And the second drawing
In the disengaged state of the clutch shown in the figure, even if the pedal 18 is depressed and the pedal shaft 17 is rotated, the worm 19 and worm wheel 16 do not rotate, and therefore the drive shaft 4 does not rotate. Next, from this state, by rotating the clutch shifter 22 about the pivot shaft 23 in the direction of the arrow, the driving clutch piece 21 is shifted in the direction of the arrow and engages with the driven clutch piece 20, causing the clutch to engage. Drive shaft 4 with 18 rotations
is starting to rotate. That is, a clutch device A is constructed in which a pedal shaft 17 in the housing 2 is connected to the drive shaft 4 through a gear transmission mechanism in which the clutch device A is interposed.

The cycle trainer of this invention is as described above, and when the clutch of clutch device A is engaged,
When the pedal 18 is pedaled, the drive shaft 4 rotates and the arm rod 13 is rotated.
rotates, and the oscillating support plate 7 is rotated via the rotation connecting rod 14.
The user swings and rotates around a pivot 8, and a user who grips the handlebar 3 and sits on the saddle 11 automatically swings his/her hips from side to side repeatedly along with the saddle 11. Furthermore, when the clutch is released and the pedals 18 are pushed, the saddle 11 does not swing, and the user can exercise only the legs, similar to a conventional cycle trainer.

Since the cycle trainer of this invention is constructed as described above, by pedaling the pedals 18, the left and right swinging motion of the saddle 11 can be performed at almost constant speed, and the left and right swings of the lower back and abdomen can be performed. It has an outstanding effect of automatically and easily carrying out uniform training and training. Also, unlike conventional ones, the structure is extremely simple, there is no failure, and the surface is smooth and smooth.
It operates positively, has a small number of parts, and can be provided at low cost. Furthermore, since the clutch device A is interposed,
By simply operating the clutch appropriately, it is possible to selectively train the legs by pedaling alone or comprehensively train the legs, lower back, and abdomen by pedaling and swinging the saddle.
