Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate air loss and carry out secure adsorption and separation by closing the opened portion of a vacuum chamber with a single transfer belt having through holes. CONSTITUTION:When suction starts in a vacuum chamber 1, a transfer belt 2 is deflected along ribs 5, 5 while the lowermost peper sheet 7a is also sucked to be deflected together. Thus, a pocket 10 is formed between the lower-most paper sheet 7a and the blanks thereupon. When air is blasted into the pocket 10 from an air knife 9 under such a condition, the paper sheets upon the lowermost one are levitated up. Then, the transfer belt 2 is driven to separately transfer only the lowermost paper sheet 7a.

The suction feeding section C of the paper separation device includes a feeding belt l having a through hole f, a vacuum chamber h facing the inside of the feeding belt g, and a lip (corrugator) i projecting upward from the feeding belt 1. As shown in Fig. 9, the bottom layer of the paper sheet, which is attracted to the conveying belt by the suction force of the vacuum chamber h, is deformed protrudingly along the lip i, and this bottom layer of the paper sheet is 2nd or more sheets from the bottom b! A pocket j is created between the paper and the air from the air knife d enters the pocket j, and the second or more sheets of paper b
The sheets bf of the lowest layer are separated and fed from No. 2 onwards.

Means and Function for Solving the Problems The present invention was made in consideration of the above-mentioned problems, and eliminates the need for a vacuum to attract paper that comes into contact with the conveyance belt and the near loss for floating the second and subsequent sheets of paper, making it possible to eliminate An object of the present invention is to provide a paper separation device that can perform more reliable adsorption and separation with a blower of the same performance, prevent paper from being fed diagonally, and obtain even greater adsorption force. The structure is as follows.
One side of the vacuum chamber is open, and the open part of the vacuum chamber is closed with a single feed belt having a through hole, and a lip for supporting the feed belt runner is provided in the open part of the vacuum chamber, facing in the feeding direction. The entire conveying belt is deformed along the lip by the suction force of the vacuum chamber.

In the figure, 1 is a vacuum chamber, and the upper part of this vacuum chamber 1 is open. Reference numeral 2 designates a feed belt that is wound around a drive pulley 3 and an idler pulley 4 located on both sides of the vacuum chamber 1 in the feed direction. The upper opening of the vacuum chamber 1 is then closed. Further, a plurality of lips 5, 5 are provided in the open portion of the vacuum chamber 1 facing in the feeding direction, and the feeding belt 2 is supported on the upper surface of these lips 5, 5. The conveying belt 2 is provided with a large number of through holes 6 in a widthwise portion facing the open portion of the vacuum chamber 1.

In the above configuration, the center portion of the leading edge of the paper 7 accommodated in the tray 6 is placed on the paper separation device (FIG. 3). When suction begins in the vacuum chamber 1, the conveying belt 2 bends along the lips 5, 5 as shown in FIG. 4, and the bottom layer of paper 7α is also sucked and bends accordingly. As a result, a gap 10 is formed between the bottom layer of paper 7α and the second or more sheets of paper. In this state, when air is blown into the pocket 1o from the air knife 9, the second and more sheets of paper float up as shown in FIG. At this time, the conveying belt 2 is driven and only the lowest sheet 7α is separated and conveyed. After the lowest layer of paper 7α is fed, the air in the vacuum chamber 1 and the air knife 9 is turned off, and the

Effects of the Invention According to the present invention, since there is no gap on the layered side of the paper 7α adsorbed on the transport belt 2, a vacuum is used to adsorb the paper γα on the transport belt 2 side and to float the second and subsequent sheets. This eliminates air loss and allows more reliable adsorption and separation with a blower with the same performance as conventional blowers. Further, according to the present invention, since the conveying belt 2 is in the form of a single sheet, there is no difference in speed in the width direction.
The paper 7 is not fed diagonally. Furthermore, since a larger suction surface can be obtained with the same size compared to the conventional configuration, a large suction force can be obtained with the same vacuum pressure.
