Abstract

PURPOSE:To carry sheets of paper one by one without fail by providing, near a paper delivery port, a means for separating said sheets from each other by injecting air toward the end faces of said sheets accumulated in a paper housing part before a paper feeding means starts to feed said sheets. CONSTITUTION:A paper feeding means 4 is provided on the lower part of a paper delivery port 3 in a paper 2 housing part 1, including an endless belt 6 wound around a pair of rollers 5 and an adsorption means 7 for adsorbing a leading edge of the lowest paper 2 to allow it to be pressure contact with the endless belt 6. In this instance, a separating means 8 is provided on the upper part of the paper delivery port 3 for injecting air toward the end faces of the sheets of the paper 2. Said separating means 8 includes an air pressure supplying source connected thereto and a nozzle hole 8a therein for injecting air diagonally to the lower. The separating means forces the air injected from the nozzle hole 8a to enter between the sheets of the paper 2 to separate said paper 2 from each other. A solenoid 9 is provided for preventing excessive floating of the paper 2 by a vertically moved press lever 10 provided thereon.

PRIOR ART Conventionally, in a paper feeding device that sends sheets of paper, such as manuscripts, one by one to a copying machine, two feeding means, such as a bag feeder, are provided near the paper transport port of the paper storage section, and the sheets are stacked in the paper storage section. The paper stored in the paper is fed out one by one from the lower side by the above-mentioned conveying means. However, if the sheets of paper stored in the paper storage section are in close contact with each other.

Purpose of the Invention The present invention has been made with the aim of improving the above-mentioned problems, and it provides a paper feeding device that separates the paper stored in a paper storage section by a separating means and then sends out the paper, thereby preventing double feeding of paper. The aim is to prevent this from happening at all.

Embodiment The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to an illustrated embodiment.
In the figure, S denotes a paper storage section that stores sheets 2 to be transported in a stacked state, and a paper ejection means 4 such as a vacuum feeder is provided below a paper ejection port 3 of this paper storage section 1.

On the other hand, above the paper outlet 3 of the paper storage section 1, a separation means 8 is provided that blows air toward the end surface of the paper 2 stored in the paper storage section 1. The separation means gi;i
It is connected to an air pressure supply source (not shown), and the air supplied from this air pressure supply source is ejected from a nozzle hole 8α formed diagonally downward. Further, a valve (not shown) is provided between the separating means 8 and the air pressure supply source and is opened for a certain period of time immediately before the conveying means 4 starts conveying the paper 2. When this valve is opened, Air adjusted to a pressure suitable for separating the paper 2 is ejected from the nozzle hole 8a toward the end surface of the paper 2. Then, the air ejected from the nozzle hole 8α enters between each paper 2 and separates each paper 2, and at the same time forms an air layer between each paper 2, causing electrostatic adsorption between each paper 2. The force is weakened to reduce frictional resistance.
