Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease a signal magnetic flux picked up by an erasing gap, and to reduce a noise excited by a write-read head, by positioning a write-read gap and the erasing gap so that they are not parallel to each other. CONSTITUTION:A write-read head 1 and an erasing head 2 are manufactured by plating at a desired angle a block 7 for forming a write-read gap 5 and a block 8 for forming an erasing gap 6, and cutting them along a dotted line 9. This head 1 and 2 are pressed and positioned by pushing and pinching them as indicated with an arrow 12 from both sides by a slider 3 of a nonmagnetic material, and fixed by a placed glass rod 10. In this way, a signal magnetic flux picked up by the erasing gap by a loss based on an inclination of the erasing gap and a signal can be decreased and a noise excited by the head 1 can be reduced.

The present invention provides a composite magnetic head in which the writing-reading gap and the erasing gap are not parallel, so that the signal recorded on the medium and the erasing gap are tilted, and the erasing gap reproduces the signal by using the loss caused by the tilting. This reduces magnetic flux and reduces noise due to magnetic interference from the erase head energized by the write-read head.

As shown in FIG. 8, the conventional composite magnetic head consists of a block +6 that forms a read gap and a block 17 that forms an erase gap, with a spacer 19 of a desired thickness sandwiched between both ends of the block +6, which forms a read gap, and a block 17 that forms an erase gap. After enclosing and fixing the magnetic material 18, it is cut along the dotted line 20 to produce the magnetic head core +5 shown in FIG. 7.
8 and 1983-44219, the writing-reading gap and the erasing gap were parallel, as shown in Figures 6 and 7.

[Problems and objects to be solved by the invention] However, in the prior art described above, since the signal recorded on the medium by the write-read gap is parallel to the erase gap, the signal is erased as shown in FIG. 9(a). When the gap +5 is placed above the signal 21, the erase gap picks up the signal magnetic flux, and this magnetic flux is excited by the 8-bit read head due to magnetic interference and becomes noise as shown in FIG. 9(b). The problem is that the noise increases as the number of portions X22 placed above the signal increases.

The writing-reading gap has a predetermined width regulated by grooves formed on both sides of the magnetic core in the thickness direction, and the width of the writing-reading gap is the same as that of the writing-reading gap described above. two erase gaps formed at both ends of the gear, and a nonmagnetic layer between the write-read gap and the erase gap to completely separate the magnetic paths of each gear to prevent mutual magnetic interference. The magnetic head is characterized in that the 8-read gap and the erase gap are not parallel to each other.

According to the above configuration of the present invention, the signal on the medium and the erase gap are no longer parallel, and the loss due to the slope between the erase gap and the signal makes it possible to completely reduce the magnetic flux generated in the erase gap. The noise introduced into the write-read head can be reduced.

FIG. 1 is a front view of a composite magnetic head according to an embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is a V-kneeling head used in the composite magnetic head, and FIG. 5 is an erasing head. As shown in FIG. 4, by arranging the block 7 forming the write-read gap 5 and the block 8 forming the erase gap 6 at a desired angle and cutting along the dotted line 9, the write-read A head and the erase head can be manufactured. Next, as shown in FIG.
1 from both sides according to the arrow 12, position and fix the erasing head 2 by pressing it against the writing-reading head t, and placing a glass rod 10 and fixing it with glass, as shown in FIG. Composite magnetic heads can be manufactured.

Figure 10(b) shows the excitation in the write-read coil when the composite magnetic head manufactured according to this example is placed on the signal 21 with an erase gap of 6ft as shown in Figure 10(a). Indicates the level of noise. Figure 10 ('
Even if the width X22 of the erasing gear 6 disposed on the signal 21 becomes wider as shown in 24 in b), the noise excited in the write-read head will not become larger than a certain level; This noise is much smaller than the noise 25 of the conventional composite magnetic head shown in FIG. 3(b).

As described above, according to the present invention, when the erase gap is placed on the signal, the noise excited in the write-read head can be made very small. If the slider, the 4#e-g writing head, and the erasing head are solidly layered using glass, there will be a difference in level between the slider, the writing/reading head, and the erasing head. It can be improved.
