整信号を自動的に生成して出力するオートホワイ
トバランス回路、および、手動操作により設定さ
れたホワイトバランス調整信号を出力するマニユ
アルホワイトバランス回路を設けると共に、前記
オートホワイトバランス回路からのホワイトバラ
ンス調整信号を映像信号処理回路へ供給するオー
ト状態と、前記マニユアルホワイトバランス回路
からのホワイトバランス調整信号を前記映像信号
処理回路へ供給するマニユアル状態とに、択一的
に切り換え可能なオート／マニユアル切換スイツ
チを設けて成るカラービデオカメラのホワイトバ
ランス機構であつて、 被写体からの入射光の照度を検出するための照
度検出手段を設けると共に、その照度検出手段に
より検出された照度が所定値以下になつたときに
前記オート／マニユアル切換スイツチをオート状
態からマニユアル状態に自動的かつ可逆的に切り
換えるためのスイツチ自動切換手段を設けてある
ことを特徴とするカラービデオカメラのホワイト
