てクリンチナツトを金属製パネル材に打ち込み固
着するようにしたクリンチナツト付パネルは、打
ち込み設備が簡単でよいので溶接設備等の大がか
りな設備が必要なうえに仕上がりの悪いウエルド
ナツトに代り近年多く使用されている。(例え
ば、特公昭49−39101号公報、英国特許第938490
号明細書) (発明が解決しようとする問題点) ところが特公昭49−39101号公報に記載された
クリンチナツト付パネルに使用されているクリン
チナツトは第7図に示すように、ねじ孔4′を中
央に設けた角板状のナツト主体1′の一方の対向
側辺部上端に鍔部3′,3′を張設したもので金属
製パネル材への装着はナツト主体1′の各角部
5′の下方を外方に向け張出させてかしめたもの
であるため、金属製パネル材に対するかしめ荷重
が大きいうえに下型のかしめ部で常時ナツト主体
1′の角部5′をかしめるから、かしめ部が破損し
易く、また、鍔部3′,3′の張出方向が限定され
ている関係上、下型上にセツトされた金属製パネ
ル材の上方の専用工具に方向性をもたせて送給し
なければ使用できないという不便もあり、さら
に、ナツト主体1′を角形とするために通常のナ
ツトのように線材を切断して圧造により量産し難
くて高価となる等種々の問題点が残されている。
一方、英国特許第938490号明細書に記載されたク
リンチナツト付パネルは、テーパ状の短脚筒の上
端に鍔部を張設したナツト本体をパネル材に打ち
込んで該鍔部と短脚筒のテーパー部全周を削り取
つて形成した部分との間にパネル材の孔縁を挟着
したものと、テーパ状リブが外周に配設された短
脚筒の上端に鍔部を張設したナツト本体をパネル
材に打ち込んで該鍔部とテーパ状リブを圧潰形成
した部分との間にパネル材の孔縁を挟着したもの
であつて、両者共パネル材の孔縁の平面部分を上
下より挟着しただけであるため回り止め効果は殆
んど期待できず、しかも、前者は短脚筒のテーパ
部全周を削り取るため下型の損耗が激しく、後者
もテーパ状リブに対応する凹部を備えた下型を使
用するためこの凹部に常時プレス圧が加わり、こ
の部分の損耗が激しいもので、いずれにしても打
ち込み設備が簡単であるというクリンチナツトの
特長が生かされないという問題が残されている。

孔を形成するとともに、該下型の環状堤部で隆条
部を前記金属製パネル材を介し圧潰して各隆条部
の下方部を金属製パネル材の前記打ち抜き孔の孔
縁に形成される傾斜縁部とともに下型の環状溝に
食い込ませ、該環状溝に続く傾斜壁面で各隆条部
を前記垂直状壁面による拘束下に外側に変形させ
て該隆条部の変形部分を前記傾斜縁部に巻き込ま
せてかしめることを特徴とするものである。

たものとし、該短脚部2の外周面には上端が前記
鍔部3の下面に達する上下方向の隆条部5が断面
山形として複数個等間隔下に均斉に配設され、各
隆条部5はその下端を短脚部2の脚端より若干上
方に位置させて短脚部2の脚端に案内部6を形成
するとともに断面山形の隆条部5の頂部は鍔部3
の鍔端より内側にある。他方、第3図、第4図は
本発明において使用されるクリンチナツト打込用
の下型の1例を示す一部切欠正面図および平面図
であつて、図中7はクリンチナツトの前記短脚部
2を挿入させることのできる内径を有する円孔8
が設けられた下型本体で、該下型本体7の上面に
は好ましくは下型本体7の上面より若干低い細幅
の環状堤部9を前記円孔8の孔縁に残して環状溝
10が設けてあり、この環状溝10はその内側す
なわち前記環状堤部9に続く壁面を傾斜壁面11
に形成するとともに外側の下型本体7の上面に続
く壁面を垂直状壁面12として細幅の底面13に
続かせたものとし、該垂直状壁面12は下型本体
7の上方に設置される図示しない専用工具にセツ
トしたクリンチナツトの鍔部3の鍔端より内側に
位置するものとしてある。なお、前記垂直状壁面
12は打ち込み後の離脱を容易にするため極く僅
か傾斜させておいてもよい。しかして、このよう
なクリンチナツトとクリンチナツト打ち込み用の
下型を用いてクリンチナツト付パネルを製造する
には、先ず、図示しない打ち込み用の専用工具に
クリンチナツトをその鍔部3が上側となるようセ
ツトする一方、前記専用工具の下方に設置したク
リンチナツト打ち込み用の下型における下型本体
7の上面に被取付部材である金属製パネル材イを
セツトして前記専用工具を作動させれば、ナツト
主体1の円柱状をした短脚部2の下方に該短脚部
2を挿入させる円孔8があるために該短脚部2の
脚端周縁と下型本体7に設けられた円孔8の孔縁
との間において金属製パネル材イは剪断されて打
ち抜き孔ロが打ち抜かれ、この短脚部2の外周面
に上端が鍔部3の下面に達するように均斉に配設
されている断面山形の複数個の隆条部5は金属製
パネル材イに容易に食い込みつつ打ち抜き孔ロの
孔縁を下方に向け変形させることとなるが、この
際、下型本体7には該下型本体7の上面より若干
低い環状堤部9を円孔8の孔縁に残して環状溝1
