Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide excellent corrosion resistance to a burner body made of cast iron and to improve the adhesiveness of a coating layer by forming a Zn (alloy) layer by a shot blasting method onto the burner body then subjecting said layer to a non-aq. chromate treatment. CONSTITUTION:The coating layer consisting of Zn or Zn alloy is formed by the shot blasting method to about 8-10mum thickness on the outside surface of the burner body made of cast iron. The non-aq. chromate bath liquid is applied on such alloy layer to form the chromate coating layer to about 0.5-2mum thickness. The caoting layer is subjected to a heating treatment according to need after the treatment. Such burner body exhibits the excellent corrosion resistance under the using conditions under which the burner body kept stuck with cooking stock including salts, etc.is repeatedly subjected t heating and cooling. The beautiful appearance of the burner body is maintained for a long period of time without the exfoliation or destruction of the coating layer even under such using conditions.

Conventional technology and its problems Conventionally, the burner body included in various gas burners was

-Those provided with a Cr-based plating layer are mainly used. However, for example, in the case of a burner body of a gas stove for a general household kitchen, the above-mentioned plating layer cannot be said to sufficiently exhibit the desired effect. In other words, the overflowing boiling liquid containing salt etc. is repeatedly heated to several hundred degrees, so the plating layer peels off or is destroyed within a relatively short period of time, corroding the burner body body and giving it an unsightly appearance. This led to the presentation.

Means for Solving the Problems The present inventor has conducted various studies in view of the current state of the technology as described above, and has found that when forming a specific composite coating layer,
It has been found that the corrosion resistance of the burner body is significantly reduced. That is, the present invention relates to a burner body characterized in that a Zn or Zn alloy layer formed by shot blasting and a coating layer formed by non-aqueous chromate treatment are provided on the outer surface of the main body made of cast iron.

The formation of the 7n or Zn alloy layer on the burner body is performed by shot blasting. The shotplast method is not particularly limited, and may include a method in which Zn or Zn alloy powder is sprayed onto the burner body, a particle size of 1n+
Examples include a method in which coated grains coated with 7n or Zr1 alloy are applied to the surface of iron powder with a size of about m or less. In order to further improve the adhesion of the Zn or 7n alloy layer to the burner body, the latter method using coated grains is more preferred. The thickness of the 7n or 7n alloy layer is 8
It is preferable to set it to about 10 micrometers.

To form a coating layer on the Zn or Zn alloy layer by non-aqueous chromate treatment, apply a non-aqueous chromate bath liquid to the 7n or Zn alloy layer according to a conventional method so that the chromate layer is formed only on the outer surface of the burner body. The chromate bath solution is applied by dipping.

Effects of the Invention The burner body of the present invention exhibits extremely excellent corrosion resistance under usage conditions in which heating and cooling are repeated in a state where boiling liquid containing salt and the like is attached. Further, the composite coating layer has excellent adhesion to the cast iron body, and does not peel or break even under the above-mentioned usage conditions, and maintains the beautiful appearance of the burner body for a long period of time.
