Abstract

PURPOSE:To read the information on the front and rear sides of a document by a photoelectric converting element by moving the photoelectric converting element and a lens to a prescribed position synchronously with the feeding direction of the document. CONSTITUTION:The document 12 is fed from a document insertion slit 11 by a roller 13, the feeding roller 13 is reversed after the document 12 passes through a read position P, the carrying path is changed over by a switching plate 14 and the document is stacked in a stacker 15. When the carrying direction of the document 12 is (a), the read reflected light irradiated by a light source 16 at the point P is reflected in a mirror 17 and enters a lens 18, where the light is converged and read by the photoelectric converting element 19. 従来の装置は、特開昭57−57380号公報に記載の
よ5に、光電変換素子を帳票の両面に配置し、帳票を光
源により両方から照射し、帳票を走査することにより、
帳票の表艮の情報を読取る構造となっていた。この方法
は、第3図に示すように帳票を光源1.2より照射し、
光電変換素子3,4により、簡単に表裏の情報を一度に
読取ることができる。ところが、光電変換素子が2個必
要なため高価であった。
