スピンドル上に、スプリングでラツチするもの
で、スピンドルと上記デイスクパツクを囲むシユ
ラウド内に、常に洗浄空気を流すものであつた。
この為ブロワおよびフイルタが必要であり、交換
の際に生ずるデイスクパツクの偏心が取除かれ
ず、記録トラツクの密度を上げることができない
という欠点があつた。他の1つは、いわゆるコン
タクトスタート・ストツプ方式の記録デイスク上
に接触したままデイスクの起動、停止のできる磁
気ヘツドと、この磁気ヘツドを搭載して直線的に
動くキヤリツジとを組込んだデイスクパツクで、
磁気デイスクの偏心は取除かれ、高いトラツク密
度をねらえるが、キヤリツジとリニアモータとの
結合の為の複雑な機械装置が必要であり、さらに
デイスクパツクに防塵用のスライドシヤツターを
要し、デイスクパツク自体も、磁気デイスク記憶
装置本体も高価で複雑になるという欠点があつ
た。

型であるから、デイスクの偏心も無く、高トラツ
ク密度をねらえるという利点もある。
