Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance dust collection efficiency by enlarging the total area of a filter, by forming a hard filter material into an almost cylindrical form and folding back the almost cylindrical filter material at a right angle to the longitudinal direction of the filter to form the same into a freely extensible bellows shape. CONSTITUTION:A molded filter 22 is constituted by a method wherein a hard filter material is formed into an almost cylindrical shape and each surface of the cylindrical filter is repeatedly folded at fixed intervals in the longitudinal direction to continuously form a large number of ridge shaped pleats 22a.... The molded filter 22 is constituted so as to be capable of being horizontally held by the holding materials 22M, 22N mounted to a filter frame 22f in such a state that the whole thereof is stretched. Because there are no holding materials 22M, 22N in the filter in a state before the filter is mounted to a dust collector, the filter can be stored in a small folded state. Further, by forming the pleated surface, the total area of the filter can be enlarged to a large extent and the holding materials are made freely detachable and the used filter can be burnt and discarded as it is.

以上の如く構成した各フィルターの内、後者の成形フィ
ルター5と7は、前者の筒型フィルター1とかバグフィ
ルタ−3に比較してプリーツ6゜8.9の分だけフィル
ター面積が広く、従って、優れた集塵効果を発揮・する
ことができる。しかし、これ等の成形フィルター5,7
の様に硬質濾材をプリーツ加工したフィルターの場合は
、予め端面を樹脂加工したり、金型とか木枠に入れて図
示の如く略円筒状(使用時の形状)に成形されていて、
これを折畳むことができないため、全体が大きく嵩張っ
て場所を取り、収納とか保管、並びに、運送等に非常に
不便であり、更に、口元には図示の様に金属とか樹脂で
造ったフィルター枠5a、7aが一体的に取付けられて
いるため、廃棄の時にこれ等金属とか樹脂の存在が影響
して焼却が面倒に成るとか、第6図に示した様なベンチ
ュリーが一体形成されている場合には、ベンチュリーも
一緒に廃棄しなくてはならないから大変不経済であると
云った問題があった。

れる。また、図中、22Mと22Nは上記フィルター枠
22fに取付けた保持材で、成形フィルター22をフィ
ルター枠22fに取付けると、この保持材22Mと22
Nが成形フィルター22の内部に差込まれて、成形フィ
ルター22の全体を第2図の如く少し伸張した状態で、
且つ、水平に保持できる様に構成されている。

れを折畳んで置けば、従来の筒型成形フィルターの様に
場所を取ることがなく、収納とか保管、或は、運送等が
大変便利であるし、保持材は取外し自在で成形フィルタ
ー自体には金属等が一体形成されていないから、そのま
ま焼却できて廃棄作業を頗る簡単に行なえると云った利
点も備えるものであって、その効果は拘に絶大である。
