DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a rotating cylindrical filtration device, and more particularly to a filtration device suitable for continuous filtration of a large amount of solids, especially a polluted liquid with a small difference in specific gravity between solid and liquid.

Conventionally, continuous filtration of polluted liquids as described above has been difficult, and in the most popular sedimentation method, the difference in specific gravity between solid and liquid is small, so it takes a long time to separate the solid and liquid, and the sludge deposited at the bottom It is troublesome to dispose of the solid content (hereinafter referred to as cake) as it is because of the high moisture content of the cake. Therefore, a rotating cylindrical vacuum filter was proposed, but this device requires a control device to keep the liquid level constant at all times, and it is necessary to provide at least two airtight compartments inside the cylindrical body. Machining the inside of the cylinder is extremely troublesome. This has the disadvantage that the device itself becomes extremely expensive. In addition, a filtration device with an automatic backwashing device has been proposed, but if a liquid with a large cake content is filtrated, the material will quickly become clogged, requiring a large amount of cleaning fluid to wash the cake, and the ratio of the amount of liquid to be filtrated will be reduced. However, since the proportion of cleaning liquid was high, it was extremely uneconomical.

The present invention eliminates these conventional drawbacks and provides a filtration device suitable for continuous filtration of a liquid containing a large amount of cake and having a small difference in specific gravity between solid and liquid.

Reference numeral 1 denotes a cylindrical filter installed horizontally in the deepest part of the polluted liquid tank a which contains the polluted liquid to be filtered. It is preferable that the polluted liquid tank usually has a funnel-shaped sloped surface at the bottom as shown in the figure, and a filter is installed in the recess at the bottom. The rotary filter is constructed by laminating a material 12 around the outer periphery of a porous reinforcing cylinder 11, as shown in cross section in FIG. One end of this cylindrical filter is connected to the rotating shaft of the motor 5, and the other end is supported by a hollow shaft 2 up to almost the center of the inside in the longitudinal direction, and the shaft end on the hollow side is connected to a rotary joint 3. ' is connected to conduit 3, which communicates with vacuum liquid tank b. 4 is a vacuum pump provided in the reduced pressure liquid tank b, and 5 is a motor that rotates the cylindrical filter.

When the vacuum pump 4 operates, the cylindrical filter 1
The inside 7 of the filter is depressurized, and the polluted liquid 13 passes through the material 12 and the reinforcing cylinder 11 and passes through the rotating cylindrical filter 1.
The clear liquid is drawn into the liquid tank b through the hollow shaft 2, the rotary joint 3', and the conduit 3, and a cake 6 is deposited on the surface of the cylindrical filter.

On the other hand, in the cylindrical filter, a scraper 8 equipped with a suction pipe 9 is brought into contact with the cylindrical surface over its entire width in the tangential direction. tank c
is communicated with. Therefore, by operating the vacuum pump 10, the cake 6 deposited on the surface of the cylindrical filter 1 is scraped off by the scraper 8, and at the same time is stored in the solid content storage tank c through the suction pipe 9, and the cylindrical filter is clogged. Normal hyperfunction is exhibited without any problems. By repeating this operation, continuous passing is possible, and normal and reliable passing can always be performed.

According to the present invention, unlike conventional cylindrical vacuum filters, there is no need to make the interior an airtight compartment, and there is no need for a special control device to maintain a constant liquid level. Since continuous filtration of liquids with small differences in specific gravity can be carried out extremely reliably and efficiently, its practical effects are extremely large.
