Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high quality telephone network by providing an attenuation equalizer that equalizes the attenuation distortion of lines and makes long distance data communication possible in an electronized telephone exchange and thereby canceling the attenuation distortion even when a circuit is changed. CONSTITUTION:The extension circuit 2 of an electronized private branch exchange EPBX 1 detects the off-hook of caller side. A processor 4 cancels the attenuation distortion by calling out attenuation distortion data from caller side to EPBX 1 from a memory and setting the data to a digital equalizer. The processor 4 connects a digital channel equipment 3 basing on a dial signal received by a dial signal receiver 7 and at the same time, sets the attenuation distortion data from the EPBX to called subscriber side to the equalizer 16 of the called subscriber side and cancels the attenuation distortion data. When a connection is completed after that, the transmission of signals is started. At this time, the attenuation distortion of lines from called subscriber side to EPBX 1 and from EPBX 1 to the called subscriber side is canceled by the equalizer 16.
