Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent air from directly blowing to the body of a sleeping person by providing an opening and closing damper which shuts off the air from an air conditioner at its lower discharge opening when it is operated while a person is asleep. CONSTITUTION:The main body 1 of an air conditioner is provided with an intake opening 2, upper discharge opening 3, and lower discharge opening 4, and the wind circuit in the main body 1 of the air conditioner consists of an air guide 5, upper cross-flow fan 6, and lower cross-flow fan 7. During the normal operation, the upper cross-flow fan 6 and the lower cross-flow fan 7 are electrically energized, and a damper 15 is open at the open position of the lower delivery opening, namely the position where a limit switch 17 for open position detection is turned OFF. 定の取付板である。11は下部駆動用モータ固定の取付
板である。これらの前面には、熱交換器12及び上部ス
タビライザ13、水受皿を兼用した下部スタビライザ1
4が取付けられている。そして下部吹出口4の奥に下部
送風口を遮断するダンパ15が取付けられている。また
ダンパ15にはこの開閉を駆動するモータ16が連結さ
れている。さらにダンパ15にはダンバ開位置検出用す
ミッ)SV40と、ダンパ閉位置検出用リミット5W1
8が設けられている。第4図にその回路図を示す。通常
運転時には、上部クロスフローファン6及び下部クロス
フローファン7に通電されており、ダンパ15も下部送
風口開の位置、すなわち開位置検出用リミッ)SV40
が○FFする位置で開いている。次に睡眠時運転モード
に切換えた場合には、下部クロスフローファン7が停止
すると同時に、ダンパ15は、閉位置検出用リミット5
W18の位置まで動き、開口をふさぎ停止し、下部より
の送風を遮断し、上部吹出しのみの送風回路を構成する
ものである。
