Conventional safety devices of this type, as in Utility Model Publication No. 55-20704, used a spring to directly drive a safety claw that presses against the rail to stop the elevator, causing the safety claw to bite into the rail and perform a locking action. . However, this structure had the disadvantage that the braking time and effectiveness depended on the strength and stroke of the spring, and as it got older, the spring would stretch and no longer function properly. Kimiaki Matami
No. 32-16119, in which the pawl engages with the serrated rod, has the disadvantage that the shock is large, and there is no gradual stopping action, so if the pawl snaps or does not operate smoothly, no braking effect can be obtained. There is.

That is, in the present invention, a vertical rod 4 integral with the support member 3 of the pulley 2 on which the wire 1 is hung is inserted through the frame 5 to cause the buffer spring 6 to act downwardly, and furthermore, a vertical rod 4 that is integral with the support member 3 of the pulley 2 on which the wire 1 is hung is inserted into the frame 5 so that the buffer spring 6 acts downwardly. A safety claw 1 which applies an auxiliary spring 8 downward into the body 7 and moves toward and away from the rail 9
0 is connected to the cylindrical body 7, and the cylindrical body 7 is suspended via spring holders 12 whose upper ends are fixed to both ends of the support member 3, and when the frame 5 falls, the buffer spring 6 is expanded. The cylindrical body 7 and the spring holder 1 are connected via the auxiliary spring 8, which expands when
2 are formed to be movable up and down relative to each other, and the spring receiving rod 12 has a locking flange 13 at the upper part that can push down the cylinder 7, while the lower end collides with the lower part of the cylinder 7. A position where the safety claw 10 is in a substantially horizontal state and the downward claw 10a bites into the rail 9 when the bump 12a and the locking collar 13 push down the cylinder 7. This is a safety device for an elevator characterized in that a cylindrical body 7 and a safety claw 10 are connected in relation to each other.

In the illustrated embodiment, each end piece 3', 3' of the support member 3 has a spring support rod 12 integral with a turnbuckle 11 suspended therefrom, which is housed in a cylindrical body 7 and buffered by an auxiliary spring 8. Also, a locking collar 13 is fixed to the spring receiving rod 12, and the cylinder body 7 is forcibly pushed down by the locking collar 13. As shown in FIG. 5, a bump 12a is provided at the lower end of the spring holder 12.
The auxiliary spring 8 is able to come into contact with and separate from the lower lid part 7a fixed to the lower end of the cylinder 7 (FIGS. 1 and 4), and the auxiliary spring 8 is attached to the upper lid part through which this bump 12a and the spring holder 12 pass. 7b. The cylindrical body 7 is connected to the safety claw 10 by a pin 15 via the lower lid part 7a and the communication piece 14, and the safety claw 10 itself is pivotally supported by a bearing piece 16 provided on the frame 5 by a pivot 17. When braking, it rotates substantially horizontally and engages the downward pawl 10a.
18 is a mounting shaft between the connecting piece 14 and the lower cover lug 7c;
19 is a spring adjustment nut screwed onto the vertical rod 4.

In this invention, when the wire 1 is cut, the buffer spring 6
tries to return to its original position, so the vertical rod 4 and spring support rod 12, which are integral with the support member 3 of the pulley 2, descend and the bump 12
a collides with the lower lid part 7a and the safety claw 10 is moved to the rail 9.
As the locking collar 13 fixed to the spring holder 12 forcibly pushes the cylinder 7, the safety claw 10 becomes approximately horizontal as shown by the chain line in FIG. The elevator will stop.
Since the safety claw 10 is in a substantially horizontal state, the biting force acts regardless of the stroke of the spring, so there is no need to worry about the spring elongating as in the conventional case.
In addition, since the safety device does not use the auxiliary spring 8 at the time of starting operation, but is instantaneously activated by the action of the buffer spring 6, a large force is applied and the safety claw 10 can be reliably pressed against the rail 9. Furthermore, the safety pawl 10 can maintain a constant stroke independently of that of the spring 8, and provides a constant biting force, making it possible to operate more accurately.
