従来より使用されているポリゴンスキャナ駆動用モータ

端部にポリゴンミラ2を取付けた縦シヤフト4はモータ
のステータ6を構成するモータケース8に嵌着した軸受
群10に回転自在に支承される。モータケース6の内側
にl±#P述するロータヨーク18内側に取付けたマグ
ネット20と対面するように、ステータコイル14が設
けられる。モータの回転体12は、前述の縦シヤフト4
、ポリゴンミラ2の下面に設けたフランジ16に連結し
たロータヨーク18とロータヨーク18の内側にステー
タのコイル14と対面するように配設したマグネット2
0.20とより構成される。シャフト4は、ポリゴンミ
ラ2と反対側の端部に設けた調整ねじ22によりコイル
スプリング24を介して、そのスラスト方向の調整がな

(ハ)発明の解決しようとする問題点
上述の構成においては、モータケース8を軸受10のハ
ウジングとして利用出来るように、モータケース8に直
接軸受lOを嵌着していた。ハウジングとして利用する
モータケース8はその構造が複雑であり、高い加工精度
を維持することは困難であると共に軸受lOは勿論これ
に軸支されるシャフト4等の関係部材間の組立て調整に
は時間を要する等の問題点があり、又通常モータケース
はアルミダイカスト等よりなり、一方シャフト部材は鋼
材等を使用しているので、両部材は線膨張係数が異なる
ため、予圧発生、維持のための管理が容易でない等の問

受を保持するための軸受ハウジングをモータケースに内
装し、この軸受ハウジング内に軸受を配設した構成を提
供することにより組立、調整容易にして、高精度回転の

転自在に支承せしめる。符号28はポリゴンミラ2と反
対の位置のシャフト4端部に巻着し、軸受10の外輪に
接触するコイルスプリングである。前記コイルスプリン
グに接しつつ、軸受ハウジング26内側に螺合するねじ
部30の操作により、軸受ハウジング26の開口部を閉
鎖し、軸受10に予圧を発生せ−しめるよう構成されて

本発明においては、軸受ハウジングに軸受を組付ける段
階で高精度回転を維持するように容易に調整でき、更に
軸受ハウジングに用いる部材の材質もシャフトとの線膨
張係数を考慮に入れて、適宜に選択可能であるから予圧
