本発明は上述の点に鑑み、カードに設けた入力
手段よりのデータを記憶手段に記憶させ、かかる
データを外部装置に送りカードの処理を実行する
カード処理装置を提供するものである。第1図は
本発明の処理装置に用いる一実施例に係る時計、
アラーム付カードCDの斜視図で、LCは液晶表示
器、KBはキーボード、ALはアラームであり、キ
ヤツシユカード、クレジツトカードとほぼ同じ厚
さ及び可撓性を有する。第2図はその裏面にし
て、キヤツシユカード、クレジツトカードと同様
にその所有者を特定化する暗号部Mが磁気インク
その他の周知技術で設けられる。このM部を第3
図の如き読み取り装置R(処理装置)のヘツド部
RHで解読し、また同時にキーボードKBから端子
C1,C2,H1,H2等を介して読み取り装置
Rに所有者自身しか知らない情報を与える。これ
によりカードの所有者を特定化でき、不正使用を
防止できる。読み取り装置Rが正しく設定する
と、キヤツシユカードであるときは現金が支払わ
れる。このとき支払い金額をキーボードKBから
入力させることもできる。またクレジツトカード
であるときはそのとき必要とした代金をキーボー
ドKBから入力させてカードCD内の現在預金額記
憶メモリーから差し引いておけば、使用者はメモ
リー呼出しキーの操作によりいつでも現在高を確
認でき好ましい。また定期券、社員章、運転免許
証等にも応用できる。第4図は第2図のM部を特
別設けず、液晶表示器LCからの表示内容を読み
取るように構成したキヤツシユカードの例であ
る。銀行等の現金支払機の読み取り装置Rにカー
ドCDを装填し、キーボードKBから自己の生年月
日等の暗号コードその他必要なキー操作を施す
と、カードの挿入もしくはキー操作を読み取り装
置Rが検出してランプLを点灯し、反射型もしく
は透過型液晶表示器LCの内容を読み取る。また
次のキー操作等を周知の対話型デスプレーDSP等
により知らせる。前述同様に支払額をキーKBよ
り入力させ、種々の条件を満足したことを第5図
のCPUが認定した場合、要求された金額を支払
う。またこのとき電卓回路部CAL内の預金残高
格納メモリーから今回の支払い額を端子C1,C
2,H1,H2等を介してCPUが差し引いてお
く。したがつて残高の確認が前述のように容易に
確認できるとともに、引き出し額がオーバーのと
きはアラームALを作動させて警告する。このア
ラームは定期購入時期が近づいたとき作動させて
も良い。定期券の場合、本実施例に係るカードを
自動定期発行所の読み取り装置に装填し、必要な
金額を貨幣読み取り装置に投入して次の有効期間
までCAL内のメモリー内容を更新する。
