Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate generation of chattering mark in initial operation of a rotary brush and prevent much amount of fault products by providing a predetermined inclination to hair tip of a brush member whose hair length is arranged. CONSTITUTION:A tapered face 6 is provided to the hair tip of a brush member 3 containing abrasive grains in a rotary brush for polishing a metal plate. An inclination angle theta of the tapered face 6 is set within the range of almost 20 deg.-60 deg. in proportion to flexibility of the brush member 3. When the brush member 3 is in operation the tapered face 6 of the brush member 3 becomes to be tuned with the outer peripheral face of the rotary brush and come in contact with the metal plate surface with better conformability according to respective depressing amount. As a result, minute vibration of the brush member 3 accompanying the high speed running of the rotary brush is prevented and chattering mark caused by the vibration is eliminated. This time, the brush member 3 is formed in implanted hairs so that the tapered face 6 is pointed to the rotating direction of the rotary brush.

- Note Chattering is a micro-vibration phenomenon observed in the bristles in contact with the metal plate during the initial operation of the rotating brush 2.
The chattering mark is a polishing scratch that appears on the surface of the metal plate due to the slight vibration of the bristles, and has a pattern as shown in FIGS. 1B and 1C. In the figure, ■ indicates a metal plate, 2 indicates a rotating brush, and M indicates a chattering mark.

Throughout the long history of polishing metal plates using conventional rotating brushes, chattering marks have been regarded as a semi-inevitable phenomenon in polishing using rotating brushes, but the present invention eliminates the occurrence of -marks due to chattering. As a result of a detailed investigation of the elimination process and repeated tests, we found that by setting a certain angle first, the chattering marks in the initial stage of operation of the rotary brush can be reduced by at least [1].
We succeeded in achieving almost complete return within the visual range.

Preferably, the inclination angle θ is set in a range of approximately 20° to 60°. The specific value of the inclination angle is set according to the amount of reduction of the rotating brush with respect to the metal plate. When the amount of reduction is large, the degree of deflection R of the brush material increases, reducing the length of the bristles in the radial direction of the rotating brush 2, and thus reducing the diameter. Here, the amount of reduction means this. used in

Normally, when polishing a metal plate l with the abrasive grain-containing brush material 3, the pressure reduction described in the seventh paragraph depends on the elasticity of the abrasive grain-containing brush material 3, the length of the bristles, the thickness, etc., or the material of the metal plate, etc. -6mm.

According to the above, 1, for example, when we say a reduction of 45 mm, it means that the brush material 3 is provided with a downstream blade that produces a degree of deflection R sufficient to reduce the diameter of the rotating brush by 5 mm. .

In the above test, a rectangular specimen of a plated steel plate was attracted to the -L side of a traveling platform made of an electromagnetic magnet, and while the traveling platform was running on a straight m track of a fixed length, during the traveling process, a rectangular specimen of a plated steel plate was attached to the L surface of the traveling platform. Rotate the small rotary brush at high speed, change the running speed of the steel plate, the rotation speed of the small rotary brush, and the amount of rolling under conditions that match the actual operation, and observe the changes in the inclination angle 0 of the tip of the brush material under each condition. I repeated this method repeatedly.

As described above, as the reduction amount increases from 2 to 6 inches, the degree of deflection R of the brush material 3 increases, and the warp against the surface of the metal plate 1 becomes deeper.

According to observation, when the inclination angle θ was set in proportion to the degree of deflection R of the brush material, the tapered surface 6 of the brush material 3 was approximately aligned with the outer circumferential surface of the rotating brush 1 during operation (when applying pressure). Depending on the pressure applied, the surface of the metal plate will be covered with stains. As a result, the slight vibration of the brush material 3 caused by the high-speed operation of the rotating brush is prevented, and the chattering mark M caused by this is eliminated.

As described above, the rotating brush 2 trims the hair to smooth out the uneven ends of the hair. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 4, a rotary cutter consisting of a fixed blade 7 and a rotary blade 8 is prepared. As can be understood from FIG. facing outward with respect to the rotary blade 8.

The rotary brush 2 which has been trimmed is rotatably mounted opposite the bevel surface 9, and is rotated in the direction of arrow T2 in the figure. The tip 9 stops the receiver and causes the end to protrude inward (Fig. 4A).9 The rotary blade 8 rotates in the direction of arrow T3 in the figure and cuts the brush material while bending the protruding end downward (Fig. 4A). As a result, by restoring the brush material, a brush material 3 having a tapered surface 6' as shown in FIG. 4C is obtained. Uncut pieces 11 often remain at the -L position of this tapered surface 6'. This tapered surface 6' is formed in a direction opposite to the rotation direction T2 of the rotating brush 2. Therefore, the direction of rotation of the rotary brush 2 during continuous rotation of polishing is set to be opposite to the direction of rotation previously applied to the rotary cutter.

After performing the bristle tip cudding process to form the tapered surface 6' as described above, the rotary brush 2 is applied to a grinder 10 as shown in FIG. The rotational direction T4 is opposite to the rotational direction T2 during the hair tip cutting process, and the grinder 10 is rotated in a direction opposite to this rotational direction T4 to bring it into pressure contact with the hair tip tapered surface 6'.

Preferably, the amount of pressure applied by the grinder IO corresponds to the amount of reduction of the rotary brush during polishing operation from 2 to 6. As a result, the angle can be set in the range of 20' to 60', the tapered surface 6 shown in FIG. 3 is formed, and the remaining piece 11 is beautifully removed. Further, under the rotation conditions shown in FIG. 5, the grinder 101 is rotated under pressure so that the lever surface 6 (1-1) becomes an arcuate surface 6a in a direction that is in synchronization with the outer circumferential surface of the rotating brush 2.

The creation of this arcuate surface 6a has the effect of eliminating the collision of the sharp corners of the bristles with the metal plate 1, thereby more reliably preventing chattering. By adjusting the distance between the cutting edges of the rotary blade 8 and the fixed blade 7 shown in FIG. 4, the width of the inclination angle θ of the tapered surface 6', which is the cross section, can be adjusted, and this may be used for polishing as is.

The present invention can fundamentally solve the problem of chattering marks occurring during the initial operation of a rotating brush, which conventionally caused a large number of defective products to be discharged, by simply treating the bristles as described above. 1J11 was extremely effective in solving the pending problem that was considered to be a semi-inevitable evil phenomenon of rotating brushes.
