If suture failure occurs after surgery, complications may occur, which is extremely dangerous for the living body. Therefore, it is highly desirable to observe the condition of the sutured portion from outside the living body after surgery in order to obtain effective clinical findings. From this point of view, for example, Japanese Patent Publication No. 57-42343 (Japanese Patent Application No. 11215-1982)
No. 1), a medical suture thread has been developed in which a platinum or pure gold wire is inserted into a bag thread braided with ultrafine chemical fiber threads. However, this medical suture thread is made by braiding a flat bag thread with ultra-fine chemical fiber threads and inserting a large number of platinum wires into the braided thread, and the manufacturing process is complicated. Furthermore, since the suture thread lacks flexibility, it is difficult to perform fine suturing operations in vivo. Moreover, when performing fine sutures inside a living body, internal platinum wires or the like may break, making it impossible to perform correct X-ray observation from outside the living body. Furthermore, since a platinum wire or the like is used, there is a problem in that the manufacturing cost increases.

FIG. 1 is an explanatory diagram showing a schematic configuration of an embodiment of the present invention. This medical suture thread 2 has an X-ray opaque agent 2 mixed into the striatum 1 made of fluororesin. The X-ray opaque agent 2 is made of barium titanate, bismuth oxide, barium halosulfate, or a mixture thereof. The amount of the X-ray opaque agent 2 mixed in may be such that it can be detected by X-rays irradiated from outside the living body when the medical suture thread TAB is used for suturing inside the living body. It is desirable that the shape of the striatum 1 is appropriately set depending on the application such as suturing processing. The X@opaque agent 2 can be easily mixed, for example, by adding it into the resin when extruding the filament 1. Further, the X-ray opaque agent 2 may be mixed in by applying it to the surface of the striatum 1 after it is molded.

。According to the medical suture thread 2 configured in this way, since the X-ray opaque agent 2 is mixed inside, when it is used for suturing an affected part in a living body in a surgical operation, for example, the desired result after suturing is At this time, the sutured state can be easily observed from outside the living body by X-ray irradiation. Moreover, the X-ray opaque agent 2 is
The X-ray opaque agent 2 is uniformly mixed and spread over the entire area of the striatum, so even if there are thin sutures or complicated suture shapes, the X-ray opaque agent 2
is not unevenly distributed or locally absent,
It is possible to observe a living body from the outside with great accuracy.
