るものである。

ーへの挿入を許し、電気接続子がキヤビテイーの
適正位置に入つたとき、元の状態に復帰し、電気
接続子に設けられた孔等の係止部に自由端に設け
た突起等引掛り部を係止し、電気接続子をキヤビ
テイー内に位置固定するのであるが、上記弾性片
が電気接続子の挿入途中において、撓みながら電
気接続子を押圧している為その状態においても電
気接続子はキヤビテイー内に保持されることにな
り、ややもすると作業者はその状態にて電気接続
子がキヤビテイー内の正規な位置に収まつたと誤
確認することがある。

る。第1図は本発明の一実施例である。このコネ
クタは、ハウジング本体1とハウジング本体1を
包み込むように外嵌するハウジングフード2から
なつており、ハウジング本体1は後方(図示右
方)から電気接続子を挿入収容する収容室5(図
示は左右二段の計4個)が形成されており、それ
ぞれの収容室5の上方には片持梁状の電気接続子
係止片6があり、電気接続子係止片6先端近傍に
隆起した係止爪7と電気接続子(図示しない)に
設けた係止孔の嵌着によつて正しい挿入位置を係
止する構造である。そしてハウジング本体1の側
面所要位置には前方に斜面3Aを有する係止突起
3が設けられている。一方、ハウジングフード2
は図示左右の前後面を開口し、他の四面を枠囲い
した箱体で、図示矢印方向に挿入されてハウジン
グ本体1とガタなく嵌合し、ハウジング本体1を
包み込む形状に形成されており、後端2′の両側
に僅かに内方に隆起する止条8が設けられてい
る。さらに、側面には前端縁2″に自由端を有
し、スリツト9によつて側壁面と隔離された片持
梁状の弾性係止片4が形成されており、弾性係止
片4の自由端近傍に、前記の係止突起3を嵌着す
る係止孔10が穿設されている。そして、ハウジ
ングフード2がハウジング本体1に嵌着したと
き、止条8とハウジング本体1の前端縁1′が当
接すると同時に、係止突起3が弾性係止片4の係
止孔10に嵌着するよう、それ等の相対位置およ
び形状が定められている。

が電気接続子12の係止孔に嵌着し、電気接続子
12が後退しないように係止される。以上のハウ
ジング本体1にハウジングフード2を嵌め、止条
8とハウジング本体1の前端縁1′を当接させて
挿入方向の位置を固定する。そのとき、弾性係止
片4は係止突起3の斜面3Aに案内されて外方に
変形し、最終位置において係止突起3は係止孔1
0に嵌入して両者は後退しないように完全に係止
される。そして、ハウジングフード2を嵌着した
コネクタはハウジングフード2の前面開口部によ
つて他のコネクタとの結合(係止片20が用いら

起した係止片6がハウジングフード2と干渉す
るので、電気接続子の挿入不全が、フード2の
挿入感覚によつて反射的に触感検知され、かつ
目視確認できる迅速にして的確な検知作用があ
る。
