Abstract

PURPOSE:A gel composition for external use obtained by incorporating carboxybinyl polymer as a gelling agent with specific hydroxypropyl cellulose in a specific proportion. CONSTITUTION:A gel compposition for external use, containing <=80wt%, particularly <=70wt%, based on the total composition, water and obtained by incorporating 0.05-0.5wt%, based on the total composition, hydroxypropyl cellulose having >=100cP viscosity measured by using 1% aqueous solution therewith and further incorporating 0.2-1.5wt%, particularly 0.5-1.5wt%, based on the total composition, carboxyvinyl polymer as a gelling agent therewith to gelatinize the resultant composition and capable of preventing occurrence of residue formation and improving the felling of use. Preferably, 0.5-5wt%, particularly 1-5wt% benzyl alcohol is incorporated in addition to the above-mentioned components. Thereby, the hydroxypropyl cellulose and benzyl alcohol synergistically act to prevent more surely the formation of residues. The incorporation of polyacrylic acid further improves the difficulty in taking the composition in hands.

It is usually transparent and has a jelly-like appearance, and is a topical preparation in which the active ingredient is dissolved in a base.It has the advantage that the active ingredient generally has a high permeability to the skin, and the surface to which it is applied is less sticky. has.

In this case, to obtain a gel of carboxyvinyl polymer, for example, the carboxyvinyl polymer is dispersed or dissolved in a solvent, and then an appropriate neutralizing agent is added to thicken and gel. As for the solvent, a solvent mainly composed of water is most commonly used for poppy leek. However, when adding water-insoluble or poorly soluble ingredients, fragrances, etc. to the gel, it is necessary to use an organic solvent together with water to solubilize and stabilize them. When the content of the gel composition is less than 80% (by weight, the same applies hereinafter), when the gel composition is applied and rubbed on the skin, the carboxyvinyl polymer in the composition precipitates on the skin surface and becomes a so-called "wrinkle". There is a problem in that the feeling of use is deteriorated. This "wrinkle" is noticeable when the amount of organic solvent in the gel is large and the amount of water is small.
For this reason, it has been previously proposed to prevent "wrinkling" by adding hydroxypropylcellulose to the solvent (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 55-40604), but this method is sufficiently effective in preventing "wrinkling". Moreover, it is necessary to incorporate a large amount of hydroxypropylcellulose, which causes the inconvenience that a glue-like tackiness develops during the drying process of the composition.

Features of the Invention In view of the above circumstances, the present inventors have developed caldexyvinylpo! As a result of extensive research into preventing the occurrence of "kink" in external gel compositions made with J-March and improving its usability, we found that an aqueous solution of 1-March in external gel compositions containing 80% or less water. By incorporating hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose with a viscosity of 100 cps or more, the above objectives can be effectively achieved and a gel composition for external use in which the occurrence of "wrinkling" is effectively suppressed can be obtained. I found out.

That is, the present inventors have found that when Cal produces a topical gel composition containing 80% or less water using xyvinyl polymer as a gelling agent, there is a problem that the composition will "twist" when used as is. In this case, the viscosity of the aqueous solution is 100 c
Even when hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, which is smaller than ps, was blended, ``twisting'' occurred, but when hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, which has a viscosity of 1% aqueous solution of 100 cps or more, was blended, the occurrence of ``twisting'' was suppressed. , it was found that the unique effect of improving the feeling of use occurred. Furthermore, in this case, using pentyl alcohol in combination will ensure that there will be no kinking, and adding polyacrylic acid or its salts will cause the viscosity to drop too much due to trace amounts of salt such as sweat, which may cause irritation to the hands. The present inventors have found that it is possible to reliably solve the problem of conventional gel compositions for external use using carboxyvinyl polymer as a gelling agent, in which the second side becomes liquefied even when trying to remove it, making it impossible to remove it.

In addition, the present applicant has already disclosed that water containing water at a ratio of 80% or less,
The same problem was solved by incorporating hydroxyethyl cellulose into a topical composition gelled with carboxyvinyl polymer (Japanese Patent Application No. 5859-189432).
However, when this external gel composition using hydroxyethylcellulose is stored at a relatively high temperature for a long period of time, the formed gel may change into a jelly-like state that is difficult to apply or rub onto the skin. However, it has been discovered that when hydroxypropyl methylcellulose is used, it does not become jelly even after being stored at a relatively high temperature for a long period of time, and maintains a gel state that is easy to apply and rub. This is what we have come to.

Furthermore, it is preferable to incorporate polyacrylic acid or a salt thereof into the composition of the present invention, thereby improving the "difficulty in handling" of the composition. In other words, in a composition in which an organic solvent such as Kanakura is thickened with a carboxypinyl polymer, the dullness disintegrates due to a trace amount of salt contained in sweat, etc., and the viscosity decreases significantly due to liquefaction. There is a problem that when you try to pick it up, it runs down your hands and fingers, making it difficult to pick it up.To solve this problem, it has been proposed to add a small amount of sodium chloride to the composition in advance. 55-40604), but this method is not sufficiently effective in improving the above problems, and has the disadvantage that the viscosity of the product is kept extremely low, making it difficult to use the composition as an ointment. By blending polyacrylic acid or a salt thereof as described above, the viscosity of the composition is prevented from being significantly lowered by trace amounts of salt, and the composition becomes easier to handle. Here, the polyacrylic acid or its salt is preferably a linear one rather than a crosslinked one, and the amount of polyacrylic acid or its salt blended is 0.05 to 0.5% of the entire composition. 05~0.3s
The polyacrylic acid or its salt is preferably Jurimer AC-10SH manufactured by Nippon Tsumugi Co., Ltd.
, 10H■ manufactured by Toagosei Co., Ltd., Aron A-10H■ manufactured by Toagosei Co., Ltd., etc. can be suitably used.

The results in the table show that adding an organic solvent to a gel composition causes "kinkness" and makes it difficult for the composition to get on the hands. It has been found that by blending hydroxyprogyl methylcellulose, the occurrence of "kink" can be effectively suppressed even when an organic solvent is contained. Furthermore, in this case, by blending benzyl alcohol, the occurrence of "twist" was more reliably prevented. It has also been found that by incorporating polyacrylic acid, it is possible to prevent the surface viscosity of the composition from being too low due to trace amounts of salt, making it difficult to handle.

In addition, in the gel (gel A) and the same dal shown in Example 3, the same amount of hydroxyethylcellulose (HECQP5200) was used instead of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose.
A gel (Gel B) using 0H) was filled into a polyurethane tube, and the tubes were left at 40°C and 751RH for 3 months. When we examined the state of the gel after leaving it, we found that gel A
Gel B did not change, whereas Gel B changed into a jelly-like state and was difficult to apply to the skin.
