BACKGROUND ART Belts with cores made of woven nylon or polyester have been used as flat belts for conveying paper. Belts obtained by covering this woven fabric with rubber such as urethane rubber, chloroprene rubber, nitrile rubber, or hypalon rubber (chlorosulfonated polyethylene) as a core are characterized by very little elongation and high rigidity. Therefore, it is not easy to adjust the tension when there is a difference in belt circumference, and the handling is poor. Furthermore, the capacity of the drive motor must be increased, making the device bulky.

As shown in the figure, the flat belt for conveying paper has a core body 1.
, it is composed of a rubber 2 coated on this core body 1. In this embodiment of the flat belt constructed as described above, the core 1 is formed of a perforated woven fabric 1a in which holes are formed in the woven fabric. By doing this, the core body 1 is formed of the perforated woven fabric 1a, and the elongation of the core body 1 becomes large, making it possible to improve the handling properties of the paper conveying flat belt. can be obtained.

By doing so, the perforated woven fabric 1a can easily stretch and deform both vertically and horizontally, making it possible to increase the stretch of the flat belt and making it easier to handle. be able to. In this case polyester,
It is preferable that the perforated woven fabric 1a made of a material such as polyamide, rayon, or cotton is not too thick.

A woven fabric is made using a thread having a denier to 420 denier or an equivalent count, and a flat belt using this woven fabric can be easily manufactured. For example, rubber 2a is coated on a metal core by extrusion, a perforated woven fabric 1a is inserted thereon, and rubber 2b is further coated on top of it by extrusion.

In this example, the perforated woven fabric 1b was formed by providing diamond-shaped holes 4 in the woven fabric. By doing this, the core body is formed of the perforated woven fabric 1b provided with diamond-shaped holes 4, and although it is relatively difficult to stretch left and right, it is easy to stretch up and down, which is different from the case described above. Similar effects can be achieved.

The results of examining the effects of the above embodiments will be described below. Figure 4 shows the results of examining the relationship between tensile strength and elongation for flat belts of the conventional example and this example (using a perforated woven fabric with circular holes in the core). There is. As is clear from the figure, the flat belt of this example has a greater elongation for the same tensile strength than the flat belt of the conventional example, and this tendency increases as the tensile strength increases. The reason why the elongation of the flat belt of this example was greater than that of the conventional example is due to the use of a perforated woven fabric as the core woven fabric.

As described above, according to this embodiment, compared to a flat belt using a conventional woven fabric, (1) elongation is increased, and an elastic belt with stretchability is obtained. (2) Length adjustment and tension adjustment can be easily performed when assembling into a device. (3) The capacity of the drive motor of the device can be reduced.

(4) Since the covered rubber pieces are integrated through the holes in the woven fabric and a strong adhesive force is obtained, a highly reliable flat belt can be obtained. (5) By changing the shape of the hole (not only circular and rhombic shapes but also any other shapes can be formed by punching), any tension can be achieved.
A flat belt with elongation properties can be obtained.
