Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the manufacture of a highly decorative molding, the join line of which is out of eyesight, by a method wherein a base material with a constant cross-sectional shape and a decorative member with a variable cross-sectional shape are injection-molded into an integrally joint body. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a core material 21 with a nearly L-shaped cross-section consisting of a base 21a and a joint surface 21b is manufactured by rolling a metal plate or the like and, after that, supplied to an extrusion mold so as to extrusion-mold a resin part 6a, which covers both the sides of the base 21 a and soft polyvinyl chloride draining lips 7, which extrude from one side surface of the base, in order to form a base material 22 with a constant cross-sectional shape. The base material 22 is cut according to prescribed dimensions, in which the draining lips 7 at the tip 9 are cut in order to form a notched part 10. On the other hand, a decorative member 23 with a nearly L-shaped and lengthwise variable cross-section consisting of a decorative surface 23a and a joint surface 23b is formed by pressing a metal plate such as stainless steel or the like. Secondly, the base material 22 and the decorative member 23 are piled up with the joint surfaces 21b and 23b so as to be joined by spot-welding 24 or the like in order to form a composite material 25. In addition, through holes 26 are made in the joint surfaces 21b and 23b.
