Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、操縦安定性の向上と装備空間の効率
化をはかつた自動二輪車に関するものである。

一般に自動二輪車においては、バツテリ収納部
をシートの下部あるいはシート下部側方に設定し
ている。これは比較的占有空間が大きく重量も嵩
むバツテリを収納する装備空間が確保しやすい部
位だからである。しかるに、このような部位にバ
ツテリを配置することは、前後輪荷重分布バラン
スをとるうえで必ずしも最適のものとはいえず、
特にV型エンジンを搭載した自動二輪車において
は前記バランスをとることが難かしい。すなわ
ち、V型エンジンを搭載した場合、必然的に前部
気筒の傾斜が大きくなるため、クランク中心から
シリンダヘツドの最前端部までの寸法が長くな
り、特に水冷式V型エンジンではエンジン、前輪
間にラジエータが装備される関係上、前輪からク
ランク中心までの距離が並列エンジンを備えたも
のに較べ長くなるからである。このことは、車輌
構成上ホイールベースを一般車と同程度のものと
すると、エンジンが相対的に後方寄りに位置づけ
られることになり、これが前輪の荷重を減少さ
せ、高速走行時における操縦安定性を不安定にす
るという不具合が起きる。

This means that if the wheelbase of the vehicle is the same as that of a regular car, the engine will be positioned relatively toward the rear, which reduces the load on the front wheels and improves handling stability at high speeds. This causes a problem of instability.

の構成等を図に示す実施例を用いて詳細に説明す
る。

搭載されたV型エンジンを示し、前方および後方
にそれぞれ傾斜する前部気筒1aおよび後部気筒
1bを有し、フレームの一部を構成するサイドチ
ユーブ2間に配設されている。3は燃料タンク
で、この燃料タンク3は断面逆U字状の燃料収納
空間を有し、かつそのやゝ後方寄り部位には後述
するエアチヤンバー4等が臨む下方に開口した凹
陥部5が形成されている。そして、この燃料タン
ク3は一対のタンクレール6上に配設されてい
る。7および8は前記V型エンジン1の各気筒1
a,1bからそれぞれ上方に向けて延設された吸
気通路で、この吸気通路7,8にはそれぞれ気化
器が付設されており、またその先端部は前記エア
チヤンバー4に接続されている。9はこのエアチ
ヤンバー4内に配設されたエアフイルタエレメン
トで、その内部空間はエアチヤンバー4の両側部
に設けられた吸気口10を介して外気に開放され
ている。

テリ15を車輌外に取出すには、先ずボルト19
を取外すことによつてバツテリボツクス17を機
外に取出し、次いで締着バンド18を外すことに
より行なう。なお、図中符号21で示すものはエ
ンジン冷却用のラジエータ、22およびび23は
排気管、24は消音箱である。

気清浄器26と、この空気清浄器26とエアチヤ
ンバー4を接続する接続管27を配設し、バツテ
リ15を吸気通路7とステアリングヘツドパイプ
28間に配設したものである。空気清浄器26を
構成するエアフイルタエレメント9の外部空間は
外器壁に開口した吸気口(図示せず)によつて外
気に開放され、また内部空間は接続管27および
エアチヤンバー4を介して吸気通路7,8の開口
端に接続されている。一方、バツテリ15は、サ
イドチユーブ2とタンクレール6を連続するサイ
ドステー29に設けたブラケツト30を介して取
付けられている。

材については同一符号を付し、詳細な説明は省略

上をはかることができる。
