PURPOSE:To make it possible to supply a large amount of hot water to a snow melting nozzle and drain residual water by disposing water interrupting valves and a water governor at the heat exchanger outlet of a water heater, disposing water interrupting valves at the upper and lower parts of a cross part perpendicularly intercrossing therebetween, and opening or closing the water interrupting valves by means of a remote operating panel. CONSTITUTION:When a hot water operating switch of a remote operating panel 13 is turned ON, a water interrupting valve 6a is opened. When a hot water supply cock 14 is opened, water flows and a flow amount switch 3 is turned ON, a fuel interrupting valve 11 is turned ON to ignite a burner 9 whereupon a heat exchanger 4 is heated and water is heated to hot water. Since water interrupting valves are closed, hot water passes the water governor 8 and is obtained through the hot water cock 14. When a snow melting switch is turned ON, water interrupting valves 6a and 6b are opened, the hot water supply cock 14 is closed and hot water is supplied from snow melting nozzle 1 and does not pass through the water governor 8. Therefore, the higher the waver pressure is, the more the flow amount is secured, and the higher the snow melting effect is obtained.
