Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the favorable external appearance of an outer panel and at the same time suppress the influence due to bubbles at baking finish by a method wherein a uniform in-mold coating film is formed over the whole molded part and at the same time the coating film part, at which an in-mold coating nozzle is located, is covered with a trim part, installed in a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a sheet-shaped thermosetting molding stock is molded by hot-pressing with the molding surfaces 2a and 3a of a molding tool 1 so as to obtain a molded part 4. Secondly, the molding tool 1 is opened slightly so as to make a gap G between the surface of the molded part 4 and the molding surface 2a of a top force 2. Thirdly, the predetermined amount of coating material B is poured in the gap G. Fourthly, the top force 2 is closed again so as to uniformly spread the poured coating material B over the whole surface of the molded part 4 and at the same time to form an in-mold coating film by curing the thermosetting coating material B. Fifthly, the molded part 4 is taken out of the molding tool 1 and subjected to the baking finish in order to form a vehicular outer door panel 16. Finally, before or after the assembling of the outer panel 16 to a vehicle 15, a trim part 17 is installed in the trim part equipping part A of the outer door panel 16 so as to cover the molding mark of the coating material inlet 7 of an in-mold coating nozzle 5.

(Industrial Application Field) The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a synthetic resin outer panel for a vehicle. (Prior art) Conventionally, when molding a vehicle outer panel using synthetic resin, first, a sheet 1-shaped molded material made of synthetic resin, reinforcing fibers, a hardening agent, etc. is molded into a predetermined outer panel using a mold. The shape is heat press molded, and this molded product is baked and painted to obtain a synthetic resin outer panel. However, since reinforcing fibers are mixed in the molding material of the outer panel, air bubbles are likely to form in the portion that meets the surface side of the molded product. And what about baking the above molded product after painting? During this process, bubbles near the surface may expand, which may adversely affect the smoothness of the coating film. Therefore, for example, as seen in Japanese Patent Publication No. 59-23552, after hot press molding the above-mentioned molding material in a mold to obtain a primary molded product, the mold is slightly opened to separate the primary molded product and the mold. There is a technique in which paint is injected into the gap from an in-mold coating nozzle, the mold is closed again, and the paint is spread over the entire surface of the paint to form a coating film to obtain a molded product. If the above molded product is painted, baking may sometimes occur due to the in-mold coating film.

[It has the effect of suppressing the adverse effects on the coating film due to the expansion of bubbles, and it is possible to obtain a better vehicle outer panel. However, when applying the in-mold coating as described above, marks are formed on the molded product at the portion where the in-mold coating nozzle is installed, which deteriorates the surface quality of the molded product. By arranging an in-mold coating nozzle to position this molding trace at the end of the molded product or at the removed part, it is possible to inject the paint unevenly and form a uniform coating over the entire molded product even when the mold is closed. It becomes difficult. In particular, when the outer panel is wide, the above problem becomes noticeable. In order to form a uniform in-mold coating over the entire molded product, it is desirable to inject the paint from the center of the outer panel, but as mentioned above, molding marks from the in-mold coating nozzle remain on the surface of the molded product, resulting in an appearance. There is a problem that damages the (Purpose of the Invention) In view of the above circumstances, the present invention has been developed to produce a synthetic resin outer panel for a vehicle that forms a uniform in-mold coating film over the entire molded product and makes the molding marks of the in-mold coating nozzle invisible. (Structure of the Invention) The manufacturing method of the present invention includes hot press molding a molding material into the shape of a predetermined synthetic resin outer panel for a vehicle using a divided mold. After the primary molded product is molded, weigh one of the molds a little and place it in the gap created between the primary molded product and one of the molds. Paint is injected from the in-mold coating nozzle attached to the mold at a position corresponding to the part covered by the part, and after forming a coating film on the surface side of the primary molded product, the molded product is removed from the mold and painted. The present invention is further characterized in that the coating portion where the in-mold coating nozzle is located is covered with an equipment part to be mounted on a vehicle. (1) Effects of the Invention According to the present invention, the in-mold coating nozzle By covering the paint injection traces with the equipment parts, it is possible to maintain a good appearance of the exterior panel, and even with a wide exterior panel, it is possible to form an even in-mold coating film on the entire surface with the paint at the socket. The present invention will be explained in detail below with reference to the drawings. Fig. 1 shows an in-mold coat used for molding a resin outer panel for a vehicle. A mold equipped with a nozzle is shown, and mold 1 is an upper mold 2.
and a lower mold 3, and this mold 1 has molding surfaces 2a and 3a that match the shape of a predetermined vehicle outer panel (here, a door outer panel 16 of a vehicle 15 shown in FIG. 3), This molding surface 2
A primary molded product 4 is obtained by heat press molding a sheet-like thermosetting molding material using steps a and 3a. The upper mold 2 of the mold 1 has an in-mold coating nozzle 5.
is installed. The in-mold coat nozzle 5 is
As shown in a partially enlarged view in FIG. 2, a nozzle body 6 is fitted obliquely into the upper mold 2, and a paint injection lower portion at the tip opens into the molding surface 2a of the upper mold 2. A paint passage 8 with a large diameter is provided in the nozzle body 6 and communicates with the paint injection lower, and a paint supply port 9 is connected and opened at the rear end of the paint passage 8.
The paint PIB is delivered from an external paint reservoir (not shown). An opening/closing bottle 10 is provided which passes through the nozzle body 6 in the axial direction and whose tip end is fitted into the paint injection lower in a layered manner. It is connected to the cylinder 12, and the opening/closing bin 10 is moved forward and backward. The opening/closing bottle 10 is provided so that its tip end surface is flush with and continuous with the molding surface 2a of the upper mold 2 in its forward position. Further, a cooling water passage 13 is provided in the nozzle body 6 at the outer periphery of the paint passage 8 to prevent the thermosetting paint B from being heated and hardened by the heat of the upper mold 2. Further, the opening position of the paint injection lower is a position corresponding to the equipment component mounting portion A with a primary molding amount of 4. That is, the primary molded product 4 in the illustrated example constitutes a door outer panel 16 of a vehicle 15, as shown in FIG. An equipment component attachment part A is formed by a line to the concave bell 1 in the direction, and an equipment component 17 by a side projector molding is attached to this attachment part A. The opening circle of the paint injection lower of the inmolded coat nozzle 5 opens into this equipment part mounting part △, and the coating part of the molding trace of this injection lower is covered with the wave height part 17. be. The coating FIB is injected using the in-mold D-1 nozzle 5 with the upper mold 2 slightly open as shown in FIG. That is, after hot press molding, the mold 1 is opened slightly to form a gap G between the surface of the primary mold crystal 4 and the molding surface 2a of the upper mold 2; 5) to operate the opening/closing cylinder 12 to post-select the opening/closing bottle 10, and after injecting a predetermined amount of paint B into the gap G indicated by -F by checking the paint injection L'7, the opening/closing cylinder 1 is operated.
2 is shortened and moved forward, and the opening/closing bottle 10 closes the paint injection lower. Next, go up! 2 is closed again, and by this closing operation of the upper mold 2, the primary forming amount 4 and the upper mold 2 are
Assuming that the paint B injected into the gap G between the molding surface 2a and the molding surface 2a spreads uniformly over the entire surface of the molded product 4, this thermosetting paint B is hardened by the heat of the mold 1 and is injected. A mold coating is formed. After forming the in-mold coating film, the primary molding amount 4 is taken out from the mold 1, and then the primary molding crystal 4 is baked and painted to form the vehicle door outer panel 16. This outer plate 16
Before or after assembling the in-mold to the vehicle 15, a side protector molding is attached to the equipment part mounting part A (belt line part) of the door outer panel 16 using the equipment part 17, and the side protector molding is attached to the in-mold nozzle 5. The outer panel 16 is designed to cover the coating film at the molding mark of the paint injection lower part. The manufacturing method described in item 9 forms an in-mold coating film uniformly and prevents baking from being affected by bubble expansion during painting. At the same time, the molding traces of the injection lower are concealed with equipment parts 17. B. In Example 1, the L-shaped mold is closed again after the paint is injected. However, the opening of the mold is defined as the coating film formation V, and this can be achieved using only the injection pressure of the in-mold paint. The paint may be spread over the entire molded product, and in this case it is necessary to increase the injection pressure of the paint. In addition, in the above embodiment, a door outer panel was shown as a vehicle outer panel, and its equipment parts and a side panel were explained in section 1, but the injection inlet installation part could be a door handle or a key cylinder. In addition, the present invention can be applied to other synthetic resin outer panels for vehicles. For example, in the case of a bonnet outer panel, an injection port may be installed in the air intake bulge, part of the name brake, headlamp print, etc. On the fender outer panel, an injection port is placed at the bell 1 line, the fuel filler port, etc.]
In the case of the outer root of Luno, the injection port may be provided at the sliding roof part, the anti-no-take part, the spoiler take-off part, etc.
