In a conventional conveyance device using a trolley of this type, a slit is provided in the floor along the moving path of the trolley propelling the trolley, and a driven pin is provided projecting from the trolley through the slit to hang down within the moving path of the trolley propelling the trolley. The driven pin is pushed by a pusher provided on the trolley to propel the trolley along a predetermined path on the floor. However, in such conventional conveying devices, the driven pins are very long and are likely to break when the propulsive force becomes large, so that they cannot be used for conveying large objects. Furthermore, since the perpendicular driven pin is located between the slit provided in the floor surface and the truck, it is difficult to cover the area directly above the slit with a plate to prevent intrusion of foreign matter such as dust.

In the conveying device configured as described above, the drive trolley 36 is moved by the arrow 41 by the drive chain 39.
By being moved in the direction, the pusher 37 automatically engages with the driven pawl 30 of the leading trolley 14, and the vertical shaft 31 and the trolley connecting member 5 are connected to the front trolley unit 9 including the leading trolley 14.
The transport vehicle 1, whose front portion is connected via the transport vehicle 1, is propelled in the same direction. The rear trolley unit 15 follows and moves while being towed by the carrier 1. At this time, two locations on the front and rear of the transport vehicle 1 are connected to the front connecting trolley 14 and the rear connecting trolley 19.

In the storage line, a movable stopper disengages the driven claw 30 from the pusher 37 to stop one transport vehicle 1, so that the subsequent transport vehicle 1 is connected to the preceding stopped transport vehicle 1. The driven pawl 30 is moved by the pusher 37 by the rear end operating piece 33 of the rear trolley unit 15.
It is automatically disengaged and stopped. Then, the rear end trolley 20 on the preceding stopped transport vehicle side and the leading trolley 13 on the following transport vehicle side come into contact with each other to prevent both the front and rear transport vehicles 1 from approaching within a certain distance. It is possible to store the protruding objects 2 without colliding with each other.

According to such a conveyance device using a trolley of the present invention, it is possible to use a self-supporting conveyance device equipped with wheels that roll on the floor, such as the conveyance device described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 55-40145. Compared to a system in which a trolley that moves along a fixed path under the floor directly supports the object supporting platform above the floor without using a trolley, the trolley moving on a fixed path under the floor directly supports the object to be transported. Since there is no need to apply a vertical load, the trolley propulsion means, which must be installed under the floor, can be constructed to be lightweight and compact.Furthermore, the self-supporting carriage on the floor allows for stable handling of long and heavy objects. It can be well supported and transported.

Furthermore, a driven pin that connects the transporting trolley and the trolley propulsion means under the floor surface is divided into a vertical shaft on the trolley propelling means side and a connecting member on the transporting trolley side,
Since each pin is shortened, there is no risk of the vertical shaft or connecting member breaking or deforming even when transporting heavy objects, improving safety compared to the case of using a single long driven pin. . Furthermore, since the slit on the floor is covered by the cover plate, it is possible to significantly reduce the intrusion of foreign matter such as dirt into the trolley propulsion means under the floor through the slit.
