[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Field of Application] The present invention relates to a heating element for a water bed that does not cause a local temperature rise. A water bed stores water in a sealed bag body, uses this water as a cushion body, and heats the stored water with a surface heating element placed between the bed base and the bag body to always maintain the necessary and sufficient water. It maintains the temperature and allows the human body lying on the bag to enjoy a comfortable sleeping experience.

The surface heating element for heating the water bed is made of two insulating protective sheets 1 as shown in Figs.
1, 12 and a heating conductor 13 sandwiched between them in a meandering manner
The heating conductor is often made by etching a metal foil bonded to a base film to form an appropriate circuit pattern, and then applying a cover layer of plastic film. This heating conductor 13 is integrated and watertight with the two insulating protective sheets 11 and 12, and the heating conductor terminal 14 exposed from the insulating protective sheet 11 is connected to a power cord 15. The connection portion 16 between the heating conductor terminal 14 and the power cord 15 is covered with a cover 17 for the purpose of insulating it from the outside and protecting it from external forces, and the inside of the cover is filled with resin 18 to seal it.

Conventionally, the circuit pattern of the heat generating conductor 13 of the heat generating element has been entirely formed in a uniform pattern, including the portion 19 where the cover covering the connecting portion 16 connecting the heat generating conductor terminal 14 and the power cord 15 is located. Therefore, each part of the heating element exhibited a uniform heat generation state over the entire area.

In the case of a conventional heating element in which the heating conductor is formed in a uniform circuit pattern over the entire area, the portion 19 where the heating conductor is located is less dense than other portions due to the heat insulating effect of the connection portion cover 17. Due to poor heat dissipation, the temperature rises and the insulation around the connection cover deteriorates due to long-term use.
There was a risk of local burnout due to electrical leakage due to poor insulation or abnormal temperature rise.

The present invention was devised to solve the above problems, and its structure is shown in FIG. The symbols in the figure are the same as those in FIG. As mentioned above, the temperature of the part 19 where the connection part cover 17 is located is more likely to rise than other heat generating surfaces, so in the present invention, the heat generating circuit 20 of this part 19 is The circuit pattern is such that the voltage is lower than that of . That is, this is achieved by making the circuit pattern sparser than the heat generating circuit 21 on the heat generating surface other than the portion 19 where the connection portion cover 17 is located, or by increasing the width of the heat generating conductor. Furthermore, if necessary, an island-shaped non-charged metal portion 22 is provided between the circuit patterns 20 and spaced apart from the circuit. The island-shaped non-charged metal portion refers to an island-shaped portion of the metal foil that is provided in the metal foil circuit 20 that functions as a heat generating conductor and is electrically insulated from the circuit.

In the heating element of the present invention, the connection part 16 between the heating conductor terminal part and the power cord is watertightly covered with a cover 17, and the heating circuit 20 in the part 19 where this cover is located is formed into a sparse circuit pattern, or the heating conductor Since the width is increased, the amount of heat generated in this area can be kept lower than that of other heat generating surfaces. Further, by providing the island-shaped non-charged metal portions 22 between the circuit patterns 20, it is possible to equalize the temperature of the portion 19 where the connection portion cover is located. By appropriately designing the shape of the circuit pattern 20, the dimensions of the island-like metal parts, etc., it is possible to make the temperature distribution over the entire surface of the heating element substantially uniform. Therefore, the heating element of the present invention does not cause a local temperature rise even after long-term use, and can prevent accidents such as burnout.
