[Detailed description of the invention] The present invention relates to a device for preventing curling of a veneer veneer in a veneer lace, and more specifically, the so-called curl phenomenon in which the veneer curves toward the front side due to back cracks that occur in the veneer veneer during cutting. This is prevented immediately after cutting with the veneer lace, and the device itself uses the rotation of the raw wood to eliminate clogging of the veneer veneer and promote smooth cutting delivery. This is a so-called complex function. The present invention relates to a device having the following features.
Conventionally, veneer veneers (hereinafter referred to as veneers) produced by veneer lace tend to curl and unnecessarily curl, and in the next process, many workers push out the curls while cutting, stacking, etc. The reality is that this curling phenomenon is hindering the promotion of automation and labor saving in a series of processes including veneer lace.

To improve this, it is necessary to correct the curl in advance immediately after cutting with veneer lace and produce a flat veneer, which will dramatically streamline the veneer manufacturing process. This is a self-evident truth.

In order to achieve the above rationalization, we proposed to produce a flat veneer by forcibly bending the veneer in the opposite direction to the curling direction, that is, from the front side to the back side, near the rake face of the cutter. Research is being done. Basically, these are made by installing an appropriately shaped member that changes the course of the veneer at a position facing the rake face of the cutter, and forming a path for the veneer between the member and the cutter. This type of device has a structure in which a front crack is placed on the opposite side of the back crack, and examples of such devices include, for example, a device for preventing curling of a veneer in a rotary lace (Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 51-53699
As described in the above publication, a patch plate for bending the veneer is provided at the bottom of the pressure bar, and it comes into contact with the surface of the veneer to be cut out, creating a path for forming a front crack on the opposite side of the back crack. The equipment provided can be raised. However, in such a device,
Since both sides of the path for bending the veneer are fixed sliding surfaces, the veneer passing through is subjected to a frictional resistance force in the opposite direction to the direction of discharge, and this resistance force is applied to the bending angle. It has been demonstrated that the larger the value, the greater the effect substantially proportionally. Therefore, top-stripped veneers and the like have not been put to practical use because their edges are thin and brittle, and cannot overcome the frictional resistance and buckle, resulting in the veneer getting stuck in the veneer passage.

As exemplified by the above-mentioned device, conventional curl prevention devices for veneers immediately after cutting have a problem to be solved only by bending the veneer to form cracks on the front side. There was no intention at all to smoothly feed the plate while preventing curling, and it was extremely difficult to put it into practical use at this stage.

The basis of the present invention is that the discharge passage of the cut veneer is rotated by the lower circumferential surface of a rotating roll that has a contact surface on its circumferential surface and is rotated by the circumferential surface contacting the rotating log; Formed by a curved concave surface or an inclined surface of a guide member provided on the rake face of a cutting blade or a holding member for a cutting blade, and discharged from the discharge passage near the end of the discharge passage of the veneer. It has a structure in which a contact member having a contact surface that bends the veneer from the front side to the back side is provided, so that the flow of the veneer passing through the discharge passage can be significantly smoothed,
As a result, it is possible to forcibly bend the veneer to the back side (toward the blade) and form a crack on the front side very safely and reliably, and there is almost no possibility of the blade becoming jammed.

The circumferential surface of the rotating roll 3 may be flat, but in order to increase the frictional force with the veneer S and log A,
~As generally shown in Figure 3 d, the convex shape 3
It is preferable to provide notches in the form of diagonal grooves 3b, parallel grooves 3c, or to coat with a wear-resistant material 3d such as urethane rubber. Moreover, the rotating roll 3 is
The circumferential surface is provided with a plurality of grooves extending in the circumferential direction, the contact surface of the circumferential surface is divided at appropriate intervals in the axial direction, and a contact member 6 or a nose bar, which will be described later, is placed in the space of the grooves. By interposing the piece 19, each member can be organically bonded and exhibit extremely effective functions. In addition, in order to divide the contact surface of the rotating roll, disc-shaped rotating bodies 31 each having a contact surface on the circumferential surface are arranged at appropriate intervals in the axial direction. For example, a spacer 32 is placed between each rotating body 31. It is also possible to form the roll by arranging it with a roll interposed therebetween, and in the roll formed in this way, processing costs and consumption costs can be reduced. (See FIG. 4) A guide member 4 having a curved concave surface 4a that follows the circumferential surface of the rotary roll 3, that is, an arcuate concave surface approximately concentric with the circumferential surface of the rotary roll 3, is integrally formed on the rake surface 1a of the cutter 1. A single-plate discharge passage 5 having an appropriate interval is formed between the lower circumferential surface of the rotary roll 3 and the curved concave surface 4a of the guide member 4. The guide member 4 is configured to be a convex portion on the veneer discharge surface of the planer stand 2, and its apex 4b is the end of the discharge passage 5, and the veneer S is
will be released. The shape of the curved concave surface 4a is preferably an arc-shaped concave surface that is concentric with the circumferential surface of the rotating roll 3 as much as possible, as in this embodiment, since the veneer can be smoothly discharged. There is no problem even if the surface has a different curvature or slope than the circumferential surface of No. 3. In addition, the intervals between the discharge passages 5 of the veneers are appropriately set according to the thickness of the veneer S passing through, but especially at the apex 4b, which is the end of the discharge passage 5, the interval is set according to the thickness of the veneer S. It is better to make the same level as that for surface cracking Sa to occur. Furthermore, this guide member 4
may be provided integrally or integrally with the rake surface 1a of the cutting tool 1, or may be provided integrally or integrally with the rake surface of the cutting tool holding member (including the tip of the planer stand 2); , and may be provided so as to straddle both.

Next, near the end of the discharge passage 5 of the single plate, there is a groove that is inclined outward in the direction of rotation of the rotary roll 3 from a position close to the circumferential surface of the rotary roll 3 and intersects with the extended surface of the curved concave surface 4a. A contact member 6 having a contact surface 6a that is
It is configured to be bent from the side to the back side (toward the planer stand 2 side). Here, the position close to the circumferential surface of the rotating roll 3 refers to a position that is spaced narrower than the thickness of the veneer S, and essentially the tip of the veneer S is in contact with the circumferential surface of the rotating roll 3. This means that the contact member 6 is brought as close to the circumferential surface of the rotating roll 3 as possible so as not to be caught in the gap between the members 6. In addition, the relevant contact parts are
It can also be interposed in the space of the groove-shaped part formed in the rotating roll, and in that case, the contact surface 6
By positioning one end of the groove inside the groove, the veneer can be guided more reliably.

Further, a nose bar piece 19 serving as a pressure cover is formed integrally with the abutting member 6, and is installed in the space of a groove-shaped portion formed in the rotating roll 3 like the abutting member 6. 19 does not necessarily need to be formed integrally with the contact member 6, and may be formed to extend from above to below the rotating roll 3, etc.
Its shape can be selected as appropriate. Incidentally, even if one nose bar is divided into many nose bar pieces in the longitudinal direction, the same effect as a conventional continuous nose bar can be obtained as long as the intervals between the nose bar pieces are not too wide. It has been demonstrated that the force pushing the log A decreases, and that the risk of breaking the log due to the pressing force and furthermore the cutting resistance decreases.

First, log A starts rotating due to chuck C,
When the planer stand 2 moves forward toward the log A, the cutter 1 produces a veneer S from the log A. At the same time, the rotary roll 3 also moves forward as the planer stand 2 moves forward, and when the circumferential surface of the roll 3 comes into contact with the log A, the rotary roll 3 is driven to rotate. Since the cut veneer S advances while being regulated on both sides in the veneer discharge passage 5 constituted by the rotating roll 3 and the guide member 4, the curling phenomenon is temporarily suppressed. When it passes the apex 4b of the guide member 4, it is temporarily released from the restricted state, but since there is an abutting member 6 in the direction of movement, the corresponding abutting member 6
The direction of travel is forcibly changed upon contact with the abutment surface 6a. Here, the veneer S is in a shape in which its upper and lower sides are pressed toward the cutter 1 side with the apex 4b as a boundary, and a crack Sa is formed on the surface of the veneer S on the contact member 6 side. As a result of continuous formation, a flat veneer with reduced curling is produced. On the other hand, as shown above, the veneer S is
When the veneer S hits the abutting surface 6a of the abutting member 6 and is bent in its path, a large resistance force is applied to the veneer S, but since the rotary roll 3 is rotated by the log A, at least the veneer S in the veneer discharge path is It becomes possible to apply a conveying force to the veneer S, and the veneer S is placed in the passage 5.
There is no clogging, and cracks Sa can be formed smoothly.

As mentioned above, the present invention prevents the so-called curling phenomenon in which the veneer curves upward immediately after cutting when it is discharged from the veneer lace, and the device itself for preventing this prevents the rotation of the raw wood. It has an improved complex function that eliminates clogging of the veneer and promotes smooth cutting delivery, so it can promote a series of automation and labor savings including veneer lace.
Therefore, it is possible to save the effort of artificially spreading and flattening curls in the cutting process, etc., and to facilitate the insertion of the veneer into a processing machine, etc., and to be equipped with various equipment such as a tenderizing device as a single machine. is also no longer necessary.

In addition, the veneer immediately after cutting is discharged from the veneer discharge passage while being given a forced feeding force by a rotating roll that rotates using the rotational force of the raw wood, unlike conventional equipment. It is possible to eliminate all phenomena such as the veneer just after being cut getting stuck between the backing plates for correcting curls due to the resistance. Therefore, the present invention provides a practical curl prevention device that can reliably prevent curling, and brings about dramatic progress and labor savings in the plywood manufacturing process.

A rotary roll that has a contact surface on its circumferential surface and is capable of driven rotation, the circumferential surface of which is connected to the front surface of a veneer veneer immediately after cutting, and from the cutting edge of a cutting blade to the raw wood. A groove-like portion extending in the circumferential direction is provided on the circumferential surface of the rotary roll at a position where it can contact both the outer periphery of the log on the upper side in the rotation direction and parallel to the cutting edge line of the cutting blade for cutting the veneer lace. A plurality of strips are provided to form a contact surface on the outer peripheral surface divided in the axial direction, a nose bar piece serving as a fixed body is interposed in the space of the grooved part of the rotary roll, and further the cutting blade or the holding member for the cutting blade is A guide member having a curved concave surface or an inclined surface that follows the circumferential surface of the rotating roll is integrally or integrally provided on the rake face, and between the lower circumferential surface of the rotating roll and the curved concave surface or inclined surface of the guide member. A discharge passage for the veneer veneer is formed, and further, near the end of the discharge passage for the veneer veneer, the veneer veneer is inclined outwardly in the direction of rotation of the rotary roll from at least a position close to the circumferential surface of the rotary roll, and the curved By providing an abutment member having an abutment surface that intersects with the extended surface of the concave or inclined surface, the veneer veneer sheet immediately after cutting, which is discharged along the lower peripheral surface of the rotary roll, is bent from the front side to the back side. A curl prevention device for a veneer veneer in a veneer lace. 2. A practical application in which the abutting member is interposed in the space of the groove of the rotating roll, and one end of the abutting surface is formed to be inclined from the inside of the groove to the outer side in the direction of rotation of the rotating roll.
