Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a driver from being dazzled by sun light and the like by configurating a device in such a way that a hood which is installed on the front window of a car, is made of a colored transparent or semitransparent material in a plate form, is composed of an upper panel, and of a right and a left side panel, and is specified that its length is larger than the specified one. CONSTITUTION:A hood 2 is installed on a front window 3 of an automobile 1 so as to blind a driver from sun light and the like which come through the window 3, and to protect the window 3 from wind. In this case, the hood 2 is formed integrally in such a way that an upper panel in an eaves form is combined with both side panels 5 so as to cover the front window 3. And it is desirable that the hood 2 allows as less amount of light as possible to be cutoff to the extent that a driver's operation is not interfered. Therefore, the hood is made of a colored transparent or semitransparent material in a plate form. In addition, the upper panel (4) length of the hood 2 is set at the value which is at least larger than 300mm. This configuration is capable of preventing positively the driver from being dazzled from sun light and the like.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] (Industrial Application Field) The present invention relates to a light-shielding hood attached to the front windshield of an automobile, and particularly to a light-shielding hood that covers the upper edge and both side edges of the front windshield to prevent wind from hitting the windshield. It is characterized by this.

(Prior Art) When driving a car facing the direction of the sun, the driver may feel hot because the radiant heat from the sun is directly radiated onto the driver. In addition, when the sun is at a low position, the sunlight shines into the driver's eyes, which can cause the driver to be dazzled and unable to see what's ahead. To deal with this situation, The driver's cab of a car is equipped with a light-shielding plate. However, since this light-shielding plate is attached to the inside of the front window, its size and mounting angle are naturally limited, so it cannot block sunlight's radiant light. It has almost no effect against dazzling light, and its use narrows the forward visibility by that much, which impairs driving safety.

(Purpose of the Invention) The present invention installs a canopy-shaped light shielding plate in front of the front window of an automobile, thereby blocking sunlight from irradiating the driver to ensure safety and preventing wind from hitting the front window. This improves driving safety by preventing raindrops and snowflakes from adhering to the windshield during rain or snow.

In the figure, numeral 1 is a car, and 2 is a hood. The hood 2 is attached to a front window 3 of an automobile to block sunlight irradiated onto a driver through the front window 3 and to prevent wind from hitting the windshield.

The hood 2 is formed by integrally connecting a canopy-shaped top plate 4 and left and right side plates 5. The top plate 4 is attached to the upper edge of the front window 3, and the side plates 5 are attached to the side edges. It covers the front quind 3.

Of course, this hood 2 does not completely block sunlight, but it is desirable to block as little light as possible without interfering with driving, so it is preferable to use a colored transparent or semi-transparent plate material. The hood 2 is formed so that forward visibility can be secured through the hood 2.

By the way, the length of the top plate 4 of the hood 2 is at least 300 mm.
It is required that the side plates 5 be formed on both sides. The reason why the hood 2 is formed in this way is to provide the hood 2 with a light blocking effect and at the same time to prevent wind from hitting at least the upper half of the windshield.

Therefore, it is important to attach the hood 2 closely to the front window 3 so that the wind that has entered the hood 2 does not pass between the hood 2 and the front window 3.

(Effects) As detailed above, the present invention has a hood 2 with a length of 300 cm or more attached to the front window of an automobile, thereby blocking light shining into the driver's eyes from the front. Since it completely prevents dazzling and also blocks sunlight from irradiating the driver's body, driving safety is maintained at (1).

In addition, side plates 5 are formed on both sides of the top plate 4, and a hood 2 surrounds the front window 3 to prevent wind from hitting the front window 3 while driving, thereby preventing raindrops and snowflakes from adhering to the windshield. Of course, cars are equipped with wipers to wipe away raindrops and snowflakes that adhere to the windshield, but because of their grooved structure, wipers cannot remove raindrops that adhere to the top of the windshield. Therefore, when driving at night, the light from the headlights of oncoming vehicles is reflected in raindrops, causing increased eye fatigue for drivers and reducing driving safety.

In order to further reduce the adhesion of raindrops and the like to the windshield, it is preferable to attach an air guide 6 to the hood of the automobile to deflect the flow of wind toward the front window 3 upward. That is, by doing this, the possibility of raindrops etc. adhering to the windshield is further reduced, which reduces glare when driving at night.
