【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は管状素材から2条のビード状拡大部を
有する管継手端部の成形装置に関する。

このような成形装置の基本的なものは、第1図
に示すように、径方向に2分割された金型1,
1′内に管状素材挿入用穴部を設け、該穴部に2
条のビード状拡大部3,3aと端面に開口する平
行穴部10を形成し、挿入用穴部の底部側には上
記素材7の端部を支えるマンドレル6を嵌着し、
上記挿入用穴部に対向してパンチ5を設け、金型
内にセツトした素材7内に弾性体8を挿入してお
き、パンチ5を素材7に圧入して弾性体8を径方
向に膨脹させ、金型の穴部の形状に素材7を成形
するものである。このようにして成形した素材に
は端部に無駄な平行部が生じ、この部分を切削加
工等により除去する必要があつた。

入用穴部が形成され、他端すなわち穴の底部側に
は挿入された管状素材7の端部を支えるマンドレ
ル6が嵌着されている。素材挿入用穴部には端面
に開口する半ビード状の環状凹部4とそれに続く
完全なビード状の環状凹部3が形成されている。
金型1,1′の上記穴部に対向してホルダ2に保
持されたパンチ5が設けられている。パンチホル
ダ2の上記金型に対向する端面には半ビード状の
環状凹部4′が形成されている。該凹部4′は端面
側が上記金型の半ビード状環状凹部4につなが
り、内径側はパンチ5の外周と交わる。

半ビード状の環状凹部4,4′は1条の完全なビ
ード状の凹部となり、軸線方向に押圧された管状
素材7の先端にも完全なビード状の拡大部が形成
される。

を準備しておけば、これらの形状の管継手の製作
にも応用することができる。

と、上記素材の成形側端部に圧入されるパンチと
上記パンチを保持すると共に上記金型の上記一端
に対向する端部に上記半ビード状の環状凹部につ
ながり上記パンチの外周に交わる半ビード状の環
状凹部を形成したパンチホルダーと、上記素材に
挿入され上記パンチにより軸線方向に押圧された
とき径方向に膨脹する弾性体とからなることを特
