[Detailed description of the invention] The present invention relates to a base for a bed for hydroponic cultivation. Regarding the base of a hydroponic culture bed, which has unevenness on its parts and is coated with adhesive so that they can be connected one after another, the purpose is to create a base of a hydroponic culture bed that is extremely easy to handle and durable. Our goal is to provide the following.

Used as a bed for conventional hydroponic cultivation in 1974.
No. 23076 is known. This consists of lining up Styrofoam substrates one after another and placing a vinyl sheet on the inside of the substrates to prevent water from leaking out during cultivation. However, vinyl sheets are easily torn and become unusable if a hole is accidentally formed during storage, transportation, or during work in which they are laid on a lined substrate. Furthermore, in the case of small holes that are not noticeable, they become noticeable only after water has been poured, and the sheet has to be laid out again, which is a huge hassle.

This invention eliminates the above-mentioned drawbacks, and
This product provides a base for a hydroponic cultivation bed that is extremely easy to handle such as storage, transportation, and installation.
A styrene-based resin sheet is fused to the inner surface of the platform, which is at least below the water level for cultivation, and alignment unevenness is formed on both ends of the sheet, and an adhesive is applied to at least a portion of the end surface, and The base was constructed by pasting release paper on the coated surface.

The base of the styrene resin foam and the styrene resin sheet can be fused together, for example, by first molding only the sheet, placing it together with expandable styrene resin particles into a mold for molding the base, and heating it. This may be carried out by simultaneously fusing the particles together with the foam molding of the platform and by fusing and integrally molding the sheet and the particles.

The base with this structure is mainly made of foam, so it can be lightweight, and at least the inner surface, which is below the water level for cultivation, is covered with a sheet, and preferably the entire inner surface is covered with a sheet, so that the water for cultivation can be absorbed. Will not leak. Furthermore, the sheet has excellent strength and durability.

The shape of the unevenness for alignment on both ends is to ensure that the mutual positional relationship is aligned when connecting the base bodies, so it may be any shape that fulfills this function. For example, the shape of the unevenness on one of the ends The end face may be tapered inward and concave, and the other end may be tapered in the opposite direction so that the inner side protrudes. When connecting two base bodies, the concave end face of one base body and the protruding end face of the other base body may be aligned and connected. In the embodiments described below, shapes different from those in the above example are used.

The adhesive is applied to the end surfaces that come into contact with each other during connection to bond the substrates together, and it may be applied to the entire contact surface, or if it is sufficient to apply it to only a portion, it may be applied as shown in the example below. It may be applied only to a part of the body. To protect the adhesive surface during storage, transportation, etc., attach release paper to the adhesive-applied surface.

Now, the procedure for installing a hydroponic cultivation bed using the above substrates is to first line up the substrates, peel off the release paper, and then glue and connect them one after another. Next, end plates are glued to the openings at both ends of the long, integrated base. It is desirable that the end plate has a shape that matches the shape of the end of the base, but basically it is sufficient as long as it can close the end opening and does not leak water. Furthermore, the seams between the base bodies and the seams between the base bodies and the end plates may be sealed. The sealing method includes, for example, applying waterproofing liquid or pasting waterproof tape. A joint filler may also be used.

The base A of this embodiment is made by simultaneously welding a polystyrene sheet 2 to the inner surface of a base part 1 made of foamed polystyrene, and has a length of about 1 m, a width of about 30 cm, a height of about 30 cm, and a wall thickness of about 20 mm. Dimensions. One end surface 18 of both ends is recessed with the outer side 3 forming a step with the inner side 4, and the other end 19 protrudes conversely with the outer side 5 forming a step with the inner side 7. The adhesive is applied to the stepped surfaces of the protruding outer side 5 of the end face 19 and the inner side 6 and the inner side 7. Usually, release paper (not shown) is attached to these adhesive-coated surfaces.

In this embodiment, there is a dedicated end plate B. At the center is a substantially U-shaped protrusion 7, which corresponds to the inner side 4 of the end surface 18 of the base body A. The polystyrene sheet is fused not only to the inside of the projection 7 but also to a portion 8 of the end plate. Further, an adhesive is applied to the outward end surface 9 of the protrusion 7.

When a hydroponic cultivation bed is installed using the base of this example, it will look like the one shown in FIG. 5E. That is, the substrates A, A', and A'' are connected by aligning the unevenness of the ends. Of course, at this time, the release paper is removed and the adhesive is attached. The end plate B is fitted and glued into the end 12 whose outer side is convex. The end plate B' is joined to the other end 13 via the auxiliary body C.Next, a waterproof tape (not shown) is attached to the other end 13. 1) is attached to the joints 14 and 15 between the bases and the joints 16 and 17 between the base and the end plates. Finally, the top plates D, D', and D'' are covered.
