Laminated wood has come to be used, and decorative veneer of cedar, cypress, etc. is adhered to the surface of this laminated wood to create decorative laminated wood for pillars and the like.

The adhesive layer exposed surface 3 formed on the outer circumferential surface of the laminated timber 1, which is particularly prone to cracking and warping, is coated with iron foil, steel foil, or aluminum foil (hereinafter collectively referred to as metal foil) as shown in FIG. (referred to as foil) 4 is adhered, and this metal foil 4
A large number of circular holes 5 for ventilation are provided in order to prevent uneven drying due to the diffusion of water vapor generated during adhesion and moisture absorption and desorption after manufacturing. The lower limit of the occupancy of the holes 5 with respect to the metal foil 4 is set at approximately 20% in consideration of water vapor diffusion, and the upper limit is set at approximately 50% in order to avoid extremely reducing the strength of the metal foil 4.
It is preferable that Although the shape and location of the holes 5 are not particularly limited, it is best to have perfectly circular or inert circular holes dotted at equal intervals in order to avoid stress concentration. Among iron foil, steel foil, and aluminum foil, iron foil is most preferable as the metal foil 4 in terms of workability, adhesion, crack resistance, and economical efficiency. Considering this, about 0.01 to 0.08 mm is preferable. Note that this thickness dimension may be the same for steel foil, but when using aluminum foil, it is slightly inferior in tensile strength and hardness compared to iron foil or steel foil, so a thickness of 0.03 mm or more is recommended. use something And this metal foil 4
A surface-decorated veneer 6 is adhered as a decorative material to the surface and other outer circumferential surfaces to which the metal foil 4 is not pasted to form a decorative laminated timber.

When the number of adhesive layer exposed surfaces 3 becomes one or three or more, it is natural that the metal foil 4 must be adhered to these adhesive layer exposed surfaces 3 accordingly. Furthermore, in order to further increase the strength, if the metal foil 4 is bonded to the outer circumferential surface of the laminated timber 1 other than the adhesive layer exposed surface 3, the effect will be different in terms of the incidence of cracking and warping compared to the conventional laminated timber 1. noticeable. Furthermore, the end of the laminated wood 1 is usually processed by cutting as a joint, but in some cases it may be exposed indoors, so in such cases, the end of the end of the wood is also prevented from cracking or warping. In order to maintain the aesthetic appearance, it is desirable to bond the metal foil 4 and the surface decorative veneer 6 together. On the other hand, when adhering the surface decorative veneer 6, as long as the grain of the surface of the laminated wood 1 on which the adhesive layer is not exposed is even, it is not necessarily necessary to cover the entire surface by taking advantage of this. In addition to surface decorative veneers, printed paper, vinyl chloride decorative films, etc. may be bonded as decorative materials.

得ることができる。 In this way, when iron foil, steel foil, or aluminum foil is glued around the laminated wood to suppress cracks and warping of the laminated wood, shrinkage and other factors that cause cracks, etc. that appear on the decorative veneer of this laminated wood can be avoided. Compared to wood veneer, plywood, cloth, paper, etc., metal foil has a tensile strength several tens of times higher than wood veneer, plywood, cloth, paper, etc., compared to expansion, so even if iron, steel, or aluminum Even if metal foil is used in the form of a thin film, it is not prone to cracking or warping and maintains its aesthetic appearance for a long period of time. It is possible to obtain a decorative laminated wood with good adhesiveness and aesthetic appearance.

Not only does it not require sealing or polishing as pre-treatment for adhering surface decorative veneers, but it also allows the use of very thin decorative wood veneers.
It has many advantages such as great resource saving effect.
