ンキーのオン操作後出力される第１点灯信号によ
り点灯させる第１照明回路と、を有する車両用表
示装置において、前記液晶表示器の背後から照明
光を照射するタングステンランプと、該タングス
テンランプをエンジンキーのオン操作後出力され
る第２点灯信号により点灯させる第２照明回路と
、前記蛍光灯が点灯したことを検出する点灯検出
回路と、エンジンキーのオン操作後前記第１・第
２点灯信号をそれぞれ第１・第２照明回路に供給
するとともに前記点灯検出回路からの検出信号に
よつて第２照明回路への第２点灯信号の供給を停
止する照明制御回路と、を設けたことを特徴とす
