Abstract

PURPOSE:To use a data communication equipment for both telephone calling and data communication in common very conveniently by providing a detecting means which detects between a call from a data terminal and a call from a telephone calling terminal and an operator calling means which generates a bell tone, etc., for calling an operator when the call from the telephone calling terminal is judged. CONSTITUTION:A tonal signal detecting circuit 4 detects a procedure and a responce signal from a called station in GII mode and is connected between a relay 11 and a system control unit 1. Further, a modem and dialer 5 is connected between the terminal A of the relay 1 and system control unit 1 and a signal detecting circuit 6 for a call signal from circuit and a circuit 7 which detects whether a transmitter-receiver 12 is in an off-hook state or not is connected between the circuit 13 and system control unit 1 respectively. Consequently, when the telephone calling terminal originates, the operator calling means calls the operator automatically and when the data terminal originates, receiving operation is carried out automatically without the intervention of any operator.

[Effects] As is clear from the explanation below, according to the present invention, when a call is made from a telephone terminal, it is possible to automatically call an operator using the operator calling means, and when a call is made from a data terminal, it is possible to automatically call an operator. In the case of a call, receiving operations can be performed automatically without operator intervention.
