Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve accurate machining by arranging at least one light projection source closely to the grinding wheel while interlocking with the casing of grinding wheel thereby clarifying the edge image of grinding wheel irrespectively of the workpiece profile. CONSTITUTION:A third projector 17 is secured to the casing 18 of grinding wheel 2 while interlocking with the grinding wheel. The optical fiber 17a at the tip of the projector 17 is fixed from immediately below the grinding wheel 2 toward the tip section 2a of the grinding wheel 2. The optical fiber 17a is fixed not to project further to the workpiece W side than the grinding wheel 2 such that the emitted ray will align with the optical axis L of the first projector 4. By means of said device, the edge 2a of grinding wheel is projected clearly to further clarify the groove section of the workpiece through the reflected light thus to define the position of edge 2a clearly and to enable clear comprehension of grinding condition resulting in accurate machining.

Each of the projectors 4.5 is composed of a lamp 8, a lens group 9 for making the light beam from the lamp 8 parallel, a filter (as shown) for making the light monochromatic, a dust-proof glass lO, and the like. The light beam from the first projector 1 on the lower side directly illuminates the object and enters the projector 7. On the other hand, the second
The light projector 5 is installed horizontally, perpendicular to the optical axis of the first projector 4, and its light beam is directed onto the object through a donut mirror 11 installed at an angle of 45 degrees with respect to the optical axis of the first projector 4. It has become. The first projector 4 is a main light source that projects a contour image of the object, and the second projector 5 illuminates a portion that cannot be projected by the first projector 4 (for example, an unpierced groove 12 as shown in FIG. 3) with reflected light. This is a sub-light source for projection.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, in the optical grinding machine configured as described above, there is no problem when machining the through groove 16 as shown in FIG. When grinding a non-penetrating groove 12 as shown, an image of the shadow part of the workpiece W is created only by the reflected light beam of the second projector 5, so that the cutting edge 2a of the grinding wheel 2 that is in the shadow is There was a problem in that the image was blurred and manual operation as described above was difficult.

Means for Solving Problems] In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a grindstone that performs cutting while facing a workpiece (workpiece), and a method for projecting light onto the grindstone and the workpiece. and in an optical grinding machine equipped with a light source for projecting the cutting edge of the grindstone and the outline of the workpiece onto a screen, at least one of the light sources is placed in the vicinity of the grindstone so as to be interlocked with the casing of the grindstone. It was established.

This optical fiber I7 is attached so that it does not protrude from the grindstone 2 toward the workpiece W, and so that the emitted light beam coincides with the optical axis of the first projector 4. It is also reinforced to prevent its position from being changed by contact with grinding debris. Note that a lamp or the like may be used as the light source of the third projector 17.

When grinding a non-penetrating groove 12 (such as the shank of a punch) as shown in FIG. 3, the workpiece W, in which the R portion 12a and the groove portion 12b have been roughly machined, is ground by turning on the third projector 17. As a result, the screen 6 as shown in FIG.
The cutting edge 2a is clearly projected on the groove 12b due to the reflected light.
The image is also projected even more clearly. Therefore, when manual operation is performed while looking at the screen 6, the position of the cutting edge 2a can be clearly defined and accurate machining can be performed, and on the other hand, even when automatic machining is monitored, the grinding situation can be clearly grasped.

[Effects of the Invention] As described in detail above, the present invention includes a grindstone that performs cutting while facing a workpiece, and a light beam is projected onto the grindstone and the workpiece to project the cutting edge of the grindstone and the outline of the workpiece onto a screen. In the optical grinding machine equipped with a light source, at least one of the light sources is provided in close proximity to the grindstone so as to be interlocked with the casing of the grindstone, so that it is in the shadow of the workpiece and does not interfere with the main part of the cutting edge. Even if a clear image cannot be obtained from the light source, a clear image of the cutting edge can be obtained by the light source directly below the cutting edge.
When performing manual operation while looking at the screen, the position of the cutting edge can be clearly defined and accurate machining can be performed.
This has an excellent effect in that the grinding situation can be clearly understood even when monitoring automatic machining.
