Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a centralized control panel without deteriorating its operability by selecting a device of controlled system via a CRT device and operating the selected device via a shared operating station. CONSTITUTION:A device to be controlled is selected within a system with operation of a CRT device 12 of a control panel 11. Thus a selection signal 15 is supplied to a digital controller 14 via a CRT controller 16 and a transmitting device 17. Then the selected device is operated by means of an operating switch and an operating station 10 containing a display meter. Thus the CRT device 12 having a time delay is used only for the selecting operation. This attains the reduction of a centralized control panel.

Recently, with the development of microprocessor technology, for example, in the control system of a power plant, control signals, such as commands for switching the display contents, etc., can be directly transmitted from a CRT display device (hereinafter referred to as a CRT device). C.P.
Microprocessor control has come to be used, in which a TR (control device that centrally controls the display and operation of a CRT screen) is manually operated and data is transmitted to a digital controller through a data transmission device.

This reduces the size of the control panel compared to when an operation station for PID control is installed on a centralized control panel for each device that makes up the system (in the case of a thermal power plant, the number of operation stations reaches 40 to 60). However, there is a problem that there is a delay in signal processing time and the operability deteriorates.

In other words, CPTRs and digital controllers perform scan control to capture input at certain time intervals, and CRT device screens also update the display at certain time intervals, so the final result is displayed on the CRT after an operation is performed.
There is a time delay before it appears on the device screen.

In this case as well, if the screen display on the CRT'A is used instead of the meter display, the delay in screen display may make it difficult to perform proper operations.

The present invention provides a CR'I' operation device that centrally controls a system including a large number of devices through a CRT device having a signal input means and a digital controller, which is equipped with a shared operation station including operation switches and display meters. The devices to be controlled within the system are sequentially selected via the CRT device, and the operation and status display of the selected devices are performed using the operation switches and display meters on the shared operation station, thereby controlling the CRT device. This makes it possible to reduce the number of operation stations and downsize the control panel without deteriorating the operability of equipment control due to delays in signal processing.

Note that since the device selection is performed via the CPTR 16, a time delay occurs, but since the operation by the operation station 10 is performed after the device selection is completed, the time delay in device selection does not become a problem. If the logic is configured to hold the selection condition after selection, there will be no time delay under the same selection condition.
