As shown in FIG.
In the combustor, a burner d is provided below the heat exchanger c, and the exhaust gas of the burner d is discharged from the upper part of the cylindrical body a through the interval between the fins b. A carbon monoxide detection sensor f for controlling the supply of fuel to the burner d was installed on the top surface of the burner c, and a type that detected incomplete combustion due to lack of oxygen, etc. was previously proposed. (Jitsugan 58-123730
However, in this type of combustor, when the burners d are installed in a pair on the left and right, if the burners d are tilted due to improper installation of the burners d to the cylindrical body a, carbon monoxide is This causes the sensor to be unable to detect carbon monoxide even though the flame is elongating and carbon monoxide is being generated as shown by the chain line due to lack of oxygen, etc. .

To solve this problem, it is conceivable to install a plurality of carbon monoxide detection sensors f above the heat exchanger, and to extinguish both burners d when carbon monoxide is detected by any one sensor. However, this method has the disadvantage of increasing product cost by using multiple expensive carbon monoxide detection sensors, and the carbon monoxide detection sensor is most sensitive at around 150 degrees Celsius. I know this from experience.

In view of the current situation, the present invention prevents the carbon monoxide detection sensor from being excessively heated, and even if the burner is improperly installed, it is possible to reliably detect incomplete combustion with a single carbon monoxide detection sensor. Its purpose is to obtain a safety device, and a heat exchanger 3 equipped with a large number of fins 2 arranged in parallel is provided on the upper part of the cylindrical body 1, and 1 left and right fins are provided below the heat exchanger 3. In a combustor of the type in which a pair of burners 4 are provided and the exhaust gas of each burner 4 is discharged from the upper part of the cylindrical body 1 through the interval between the fins 2, 2..., the upper surface of the heat exchanger 3 is provided. A duct 6 containing a carbon monoxide detection sensor 5 for controlling the supply of fuel to both burners 4, 4 is provided, and a heat exchanger 3 of the duct 6 is provided.
A closing plate 6a is provided on the surface facing the burner 4, leaving only the portion 6a facing the central portion of each burner 4 and closing off the other portions.

What is shown in the figure is left and right 1 provided in a cylindrical body 1.
One burner 4 of the pair of burners 4, 4 has an ignition burner 10, an ignition electrode 9, a constant flame burner 7, and a thermocouple 8 facing the position heated by the constant flame burner 7. As shown in FIG. 4, the exchanger 3 is constructed by attaching a large number of fins 2 arranged in parallel at intervals in the vertical direction to a horizontally meandering water pipe 3a. Nothing has changed.

In a normal combustion state, the tip of the flame from the burner 4 burns while being close to the combustion surface of the burner 4 as shown by the chain line A. However, there may be a so-called over-input state where the fuel is supplied to the gas burner 4 in excess, or there may be a lack of oxygen in the cylindrical body 1 resulting in clogging between the fins 2, 2, a state where there is a lack of oxygen in the indoor air, or there is a lack of oxygen in the burner throat. When dust or the like adheres, a flame extends and comes into contact with the fins 2, as shown by the chain line B in FIG. 2, generating carbon monoxide.

However, in the previously proposed method, if the burner 4 is improperly attached to the cylindrical body 1 as shown in FIG. 2, incomplete combustion will occur and the flame of one burner 4 will come into contact with the heat exchanger 3. Even though the flame on the side facing the carbon monoxide detection sensor 5 does not come into contact with the heat exchanger 3, there is an inconvenience that carbon monoxide is not detected by the sensor 5. . A duct 6 that accommodates the carbon monoxide detection sensor 5 is provided on the upper surface of the heat exchanger 3, and a duct 6 that accommodates the carbon monoxide detection sensor 5 is provided on the surface of the duct 6 that faces the heat exchanger 3 and faces the center portion of each burner 4. When providing a blocking plate 6b that leaves only the portion 6a that is closed and closes the other portions,
Whenever the above-mentioned abnormal condition occurs, when the flame of one of the burners 4 comes into contact with the heat exchanger 3 and generates carbon monoxide, it flows into the duct 6 from the portion 6a and reaches the sensor 5. That is, the portion 6a can concentrate the exhaust gas from the area where carbon monoxide is generated and act on the sensor 5, and most of the heat from the heat exchanger 2 can be blocked by the closing plate 6b, so that the sensor 5 can be concentrated. prevents it from being excessively heated.

In this way, according to the present invention, a duct 6 housing a carbon monoxide detection sensor 5 for controlling the supply of fuel to both the burners 4 and 4 is provided on the upper surface of the heat exchanger 3, and the heat exchanger of the duct 6 is provided. By providing a closing plate 6b on the surface facing the vessel 3, which leaves only the part 6a facing the central part of each burner 4 and closes the other parts,
When incomplete combustion occurs due to improper installation of the burners 4, the flame extending from one burner 4 is transferred to the heat exchanger 3.
Even if a situation occurs where the flame extending from the other burner 4 comes into contact with the heat exchanger 3, the carbon monoxide generated can be captured by the duct 6 and guided to the sensor 5. Therefore, one sensor 5 can reliably detect incomplete combustion and control the burners 4, 4, and the sensor 5 can be connected to the burner 4 and the heat by the closing plate 6b provided on the lower surface of the duct 6. It is possible to prevent extreme heating from the heat from the exchanger 3, thereby improving the sensitivity of the sensor 5.
