ルト用のねじ孔6,6が設けられている。7はセ
ツトカバーであり、ステアリングシヤフトの外形
に応じた円弧状部8を設け、さらに円弧状部8の
両側にセツトボルト用の孔9,9を設けてある。
10はセツトボルト、11はステアリングシヤフ
トである。ステアリングシヤフト11への取付け
は、図のようにロツク装置本体1とセツトカバー
7とでステアリングシヤフト11を挾着し、孔9
を貫通したセツトボルト10をねじ孔6にねじ込
むことにより行なわれるが、盗難防止の目的から
このセツトボルト10をはずすことができないよ
うにする必要があるので、セツトボルト10には
細径部10aを設けてあり、締め付け後にこの細
径部10aをねじ切ることが一般に行なわれてい
る。

てロツク装置本体とセツトカバーとをかしめ付け
るようにすることにより、ロツク装置本体とセツ
トカバーとが単にねじ止めによつて固定されてい
るだけでなく、機械的なかしめも併用されている
ため、仮りにセツトボルトを取外してもロツク装
置本体を取外すことはできず、車輌の盗難防止を
より確実に行なえる自動車用ステアリングロツク
装置を提供したものである。
