The basic structure of the packing machine was developed by the applicant in 1982.
As proposed in No. 9305, as shown in FIGS. 6 to 8, a board 52 is supported in a horizontally movable manner by a guide 51 of a table on which a package is placed, and a tape is inserted below this board 52. A first clamp 53 that secures the end portion with the substrate 52, a second clamp 54 that secures the overlapping portion of the tape B after tightening the tape B wound around the packaged item A, and presses the upper and lower overlapping portions of the tape B. A pressurizer 55, a cutting mechanism that cuts the lower tape of the overlapping tapes with the fixed lower blade 56 and the cutting edge of the first clamp 53, and a heater (not shown) that can be freely inserted and removed between the upper and lower tapes are arranged. ,
These forward and backward movements and up and down movements are controlled at the same timing by a cam mechanism 57, and the tape B is fed out and tightened by a tape feeding and tightening mechanism 60 comprising a pair of rollers 58 and 59.

The above-mentioned operation of the packing machine involves pulling out the tape B stored in the table, wrapping it around the packaged item A, securing the end with the first clamp 53, tightening the tape to tighten the packaged item, and then Then, the upper and lower tapes are locked with the second clamp 54, the upper and lower tapes are pressed by the pressurizer 55, the heater enters between the upper and lower tapes, and the lower tape is cut to weld both ends of the tape. Finally, the board 52 is moved laterally. The tape is removed from between package A and tape B.

By the way, the strength of the welded portion of the tape depends on the amount of overlap between the upper and lower tapes, and in the case of a wide tape, there is no problem even if the upper and lower tapes shift in the width direction because a sufficient welded area can be obtained.

However, in the case of narrow tapes such as 6 mm or 9 mm wide, if a deviation occurs in the width direction during welding, the welding area will become extremely small and the welding strength will decrease, so when welding narrow tapes, , alignment of the upper and lower tapes in the width direction is extremely important.

In addition, when the tape is wide, its tensile strength is high, so the welding and cutting mechanisms must be made strong, which increases the size of the entire packaging machine and complicates its structure, increasing manufacturing costs. It is expensive and extremely uneconomical in the use of narrow tapes.

Furthermore, the above-mentioned conventional packaging machine has a structure in which the board 52 is supported by the guide 51 so as to be movable laterally, and the clamp, the pressurizer 55, etc. are arranged directly below the board 52.
Maintaining accuracy in step 2 is an important point in determining the durability of the packaging machine itself.

However, since the board 52 has a sliding structure along the guide 51 and a rotating link for sliding, troubles caused by wear of various parts may occur.
There are problems such as insufficient clamping, insufficient pressure, and problems with sliding surfaces and rotating parts.

This invention was made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and has a simple structure, small size, and low cost, and allows accurate widthwise positioning of the upper and lower tapes, especially when using narrow tapes. It is an object of the present invention to provide a packaging machine which is suitable for the present invention and has improved durability by eliminating the sliding surface and rotation of the tape welding receiving part.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides a packaging method in which both ends of a tape wound around a packaged item are tightened, then overlapped and clamped, and the overlapping surfaces of the tapes are welded by heat and pressure. In a machine, a swinging member whose lower part is pivoted to a fixed part can be freely swung between an upright position and a tilted position to one side, around the pivoted lower part, and the upper part of this swinging member is tilted to the other side. A pedestal for connecting the tape is provided at the position, and the swinging member has a clamp located directly below the pedestal that is movable up and down and clamps the tape between the pedestal and the tape cutting mechanism in the raised position, and a tape cutting mechanism that is also movable up and down. A tape crimping device that presses the tape against a pedestal in the raised position and a cam mechanism that moves the clamp and tape crimping device up and down are installed, and the other side on which the pedestal of the swinging member in the upright position is provided. The swinging member, which is in an upright position, can freely move forward and backward relative to the lower part of the pedestal, and
When the pedestal is in the forward position directly under the pedestal, a tape insertion guiding part is formed with the bottom surface of the pedestal, and a tape guide is arranged that retracts from directly below the pedestal in conjunction with the rise of the clamp or tape crimper. After the connection process is completed, the swinging member in the upright position is tilted to the retracted position on one side, and the pedestal is pulled out from between the package and the connection tape.

With the swinging member upright and the first clamp, pressurizer, and second clamp in the lowered position, place the package on the top plate, wrap the tape pulled out on the top plate around the package, Insert the tip of the tape into the insertion guiding part between the pedestal and the guide piece in the guide groove.

When the tip of the tape presses the switch via the lever, the motor starts and the camshaft rotates. First, the first clamp holds the upper tape with the pedestal, and then the tape is tightened to the specified tension. Once reached, the second clamp rises and clamps the overlapping part of the upper and lower tapes with the pedestal, after which the pressurizer rises, cuts the lower tape, pressurizes the upper and lower tapes and the heater inserted between them, and removes the upper and lower tapes. When the heater is removed after melting, the tape will be welded.

When both clamps and the pressurizer are lowered after tape welding, the swinging member is tilted in the retreating direction, and the pedestal is removed from between the package and the tape.

(1) A pedestal for tape connection, clamps, a pressurizer, and a cam mechanism that moves these up and down are attached to a swinging member that swings around the bottom, and after welding the tape, the package is moved by tilting the swinging member. Since the pedestal for connecting the tape can be removed from between the tape and the tape, the important mechanism of the packaging machine can be set on the swinging member, and the whole is compact, and the manufacturing cost is reduced due to the miniaturization and simplification of the shape. Moreover, there is no sliding or rotating part in the receiving part during tape welding, and troubles due to wear can be prevented.

(2) The swinging member and tape guide restrict the movement of the insertion tape in the width direction, and the tape connection cradle and tape guide restrict the vertical movement of the insertion tape, improving the positioning accuracy of the insertion tape. This has greatly improved the widthwise position of the upper and lower tapes at the welding area, making it possible to reliably weld the entire width of the tape.

1. A swinging member whose lower part is pivoted to a fixed part in a packaging machine that clamps both ends of a tape wound around a packaged item after tightening them, and then welds the overlapping surfaces of the tapes together by applying heat and pressure. is able to swing freely between an upright position and a tilted position toward one side around the lower part of the pivot, and a pedestal for tape connection is provided at the top of this swinging member at a position on the other side. The moving parts include a clamp located directly below the pedestal that can be raised and lowered to clamp the tape between the pedestal and the pedestal in the raised position, a tape cutting mechanism, and a tape crimper that can also be raised and lowered to press the tape against the pedestal in the raised position. and a cam mechanism for raising and lowering the clamp and tape crimping device, and a holder for the swinging member in the upright position is installed at a position opposite to the other side on which the cradle for the swinging member in the upright position is provided. It can freely move forward and backward relative to the bottom of the stand,
When the pedestal is in the forward position directly under the pedestal, a tape insertion guiding part is formed with the bottom surface of the pedestal, and a tape guide is arranged that retracts from directly below the pedestal in conjunction with the rise of the clamp or tape crimper. After the connection process is completed, the swinging member in the upright position tilts to the retracted position on one side so that the pedestal is pulled out from between the packaged item and the connection tape.
