Conventionally, so-called gravity-type spray guns with paint containers, which use compressed air sent into the spray gun body to spray the liquid paint stored in the paint container into atomized form, spray the paint during work. A lid is installed to prevent paint from flowing out of the paint container. However, if the paint container is sealed, the paint may not be properly fed into the spray gun body, or the sprayed surface may be uneven, so a small air intake port is drilled near the center of the lid. This is usually set up. However, while working, the paint container would wobble and the paint inside would splash up, blocking the air intake port, so each time this happened, I would stop work and use a thin wire to close the air intake hole. Currently, the pipes are left open, and this has been an obstacle to paint spraying work. Also,
Not only that, but the paint inside often scattered from the air intake port onto the worker's body or onto other areas other than the spraying surface. For this reason, it has been desired to improve a paint container that can immediately open a clogged air intake port without being forced to interrupt work, and can also prevent paint from scattering.

The present invention relates to an improvement of a paint container devised in view of the above points, and its gist is that in a paint container with an air intake hole perforated in the lid, one end of the rod-shaped connecting part An adjustment body is formed by connecting a knob at one end and a weight at the other end, and connect the adjustment body with the knob at the front side of the lid and the connecting part at the air intake in a loose manner. The invention consists in attaching the parts to the lid of the paint container by locating the parts on the back side of the lid.

1 in the figure is the gravity-type spray gun body,
This spray gun body 1 is a well-known type that can spray paint sent from a cup-shaped paint container 2 into a spray form using compressed air, and is widely used in painting walls, fences, and other surfaces. It is. The paint container 2 is the spray gun body 1
By being mounted above the barrel of the spray gun, the stored paint is naturally fed into the spray gun body 1.

The paint container 2 has an opening at the top to prevent the paint from flowing out from the opening.
In order to prevent foreign matter from entering the paint container 2, a slightly curved lid 3 is attached. An air intake port 4 is provided near the center of the lid 3 to prevent the lid 3 from sealing the paint container 2 and to enable normal feeding of paint into the spray gun body 1.
has been drilled. This air intake port 4 is designed to prevent paint from scattering during work as much as possible.
It is usually formed to have a small diameter (approximately 2 mm to 4 mm in diameter).

In FIG. 2, reference numeral 5 denotes an adjustment body made of steel, and this adjustment body 5 includes a thin rod-shaped connecting part 6, a ring-shaped knob 7 connected to one end of the connecting part 6, and a connecting part 6.
It is formed with a spherical weight part 8 connected to the other end,
The knob 7 is placed on the front side of the lid 3, and the connecting portion 6 is placed on the air intake port 4.
The weight portions 8 are respectively positioned and attached to the back side of the lid 3 in a free-through shape. However, since the grip part 7 and the weight part 8 are made larger than the inner diameter of the air intake port 4, in the illustrated example, the connecting part 6 and the grip part 7 are integrally molded and are inserted into the air intake port 4. Connecting part 6
A separately molded weight part 8 is attached to the other end by welding. Here, the connecting part 6 connects to the air intake port 4.
In addition, since the thickness of the knob 7 is approximately the same as the diameter of the connecting portion 6, the adjustment body 5
Even in the installed state, a gap is always formed in the air intake port 4, so that air can smoothly flow into the paint container 2.

By the way, the material, shape, etc. of the regulating body 5 in the present invention are not necessarily limited to those mentioned above, and other materials may be used as long as they have excellent chemical resistance. The shapes of the portion 7 and the weight portion 8 are also arbitrary. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 3, two steel wires 9 with one end curved are connected to the weight part 8, and the elasticity of the steel wires 9 is used to attach the wires. This eliminates the need for the detailed welding work of the weight portion 8 described above.

Next, to explain how to use the present invention, when the air intake port 4 is clogged with paint, just pinch the knob 7 (or press it down) and turn it to block the air intake port 4. Since the paint is pushed apart by the connecting portion 6, the opening can be easily restored. Since the knob 7 can be easily operated with the other free hand, the operation can be carried out quickly without interrupting the work. However, as the paint container 2 wobbles during work, the weight part 8 also shakes, and as a result, the connecting part 6 forcibly pushes away the paint stuck in the air intake port 4 and opens it. No further operation is required. However, in this case, it is necessary to make the connecting part 6 a little longer and also make the weight part 8 a little heavier.

According to the present invention configured in this way, the extraction part 7
The adjusting body 5 is attached to the lid 3 of the paint container 4 by locating the connecting part 6 on the front side of the lid 3, the connecting part 6 in the air intake port 4 in a loose form, and the weight part 8 on the back side of the lid 3. Even if the paint container 4 wobbles and the paint inside splashes up during the paint spraying process, and the air intake port 4 is blocked by the splashed paint, it can be removed immediately by simply grasping the knob 7 and turning it. It can be opened to the street. At this time, since the picking part 7 can be easily operated with the other free hand, there is no need to interrupt the work, and therefore, smooth spraying work can be expected. Furthermore, even if the air intake port 4 becomes clogged during spraying of paint, the opening operation can be performed immediately, so that unevenness will not occur on the sprayed surface.

Furthermore, if the connecting portion 6 is formed to be a little longer and the weight of the weight portion 8 is also made a little heavier, the weight portion 8 will also swing as the paint container 2 wobbles.
Since the connecting portion 6 forcibly pushes out the paint stuck in the air intake port 4 to open it, there is an advantage that the above-mentioned operation of the knob 7 is not required.

Furthermore, since the knob 7 is located on the front side of the lid 3 and the weight part 8 is located on the back side of the lid 3, there is no possibility that some of the paint that has splashed up will flow out to the vicinity of the air intake port 4. There is no risk of the paint flying out of the paint container 2 from the air intake port 4, and therefore, there is no chance of it scattering onto the worker's body or anywhere other than the spraying surface.

Since the present invention has a structure in which the adjusting body 5 is simply attached to the air intake port 4, it is not only extremely easy to manufacture, but also can be immediately installed in this type of spray gun that has been provided conventionally. It also has the advantage of being able to

As explained above, the present invention has various practical effects such as being able to easily prevent the air intake hole provided in the paint container of the spray gun from being blocked.
