[Detailed description of the invention] The present invention relates to a water-absorbent article, and more specifically, by compressing at least a part of a cotton-like pulp sheet, recesses are formed on the surface thereof, and a hydrophobic fiber web and a hydrophobic fiber sheet are further formed on the surface of the cotton-like pulp sheet. and a hydrophobic perforated film, a space is partially formed between the cotton-like pulp sheet and the hydrophobic sheet, and the space is used to absorb secretions such as menstrual blood. The present invention relates to a water-absorbent article with enhanced diffusion and retention effects. Conventionally, attempts have been made to compress all or part of a cotton-like pulp sheet to make a water-absorbent article. If all of the cotton-like pulp is compressed, menstrual blood, etc. will spread out due to capillary action, and when used as a water-absorbing material such as a napkin, it will not be bulky, making it look good when worn.On the other hand, cotton-like pulp When it is completely compressed, the absorption rate of menstrual blood, etc. becomes slow and the holding power is reduced. Furthermore, if a part of the cotton-like pulp sheet is compressed so as to bite into the thickness direction of the pulp layer to form a sheet having both compressed and uncompressed parts to form a water-absorbing article, the compressed part absorbs menstrual blood. Although it has the characteristics that the non-compressible part increases the rate of absorption of menstrual blood, etc., it has the disadvantage that the space formed by the compressed part is difficult to fully utilize for retaining menstrual blood, etc. It was hot. The inventors of the present invention have arrived at the present invention as a result of intensive research to improve the drawbacks of such conventional water absorbent articles. That is, the present invention combines two or more layers of a cotton-like pulp sheet with recesses formed on the surface by compressing at least a portion of the sheet into a hydrophobic material selected from a hydrophobic fiber web, a hydrophobic fiber sheet, and a hydrophobic perforated film. A water-absorbing article is produced by laminating sheets and a cotton-like pulp sheet so that the surface provided with the concave portion faces a hydrophobic sheet, and partially forming a space between the cotton-like pulp sheet and the hydrophobic sheet. This is what we provide. Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained in detail with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of a flocculent pulp sheet 1 used in the present invention, in which recesses 2 are provided on the surface by compressing at least a portion of the sheet. The sheet 1 and the hydrophobic sheet 3 are stacked as shown in Fig. 2, and the space 4 formed between them is utilized. In order to reduce this, two or more layers of cotton-like pulp sheets are laminated with a hydrophobic sheet so that the hydrophobic sheet is sandwiched between the two layers of cotton-like pulp sheets. Third
An embodiment of the invention according to FIGS. In FIG. 3, the cotton-like pulp sheet 1 having the recessed portions is further laminated on the hydrophobic sheet 3 of FIG. 2 so as to face each other. The one in FIG. 4 is a multilayered body in which a hydrophobic sheet 3 and a cotton-like pulp sheet 1 are laminated one more layer each. The present invention also includes those wrapped in an outer packaging material. In the water-absorbent article of the present invention as shown in FIG. 3 or 4, menstrual blood, etc. that reaches the hydrophobic sheet is difficult to pass through the hydrophobic sheet immediately and tends to spread on the hydrophobic sheet. There is. Menstrual blood, etc. is diffused by both the spread on this hydrophobic sheet and the spread by the recesses of the cotton-like pulp sheet, resulting in a high absorption rate. Since it is absorbed by the pulp sheet, it has the advantage that the amount of return during compression is extremely small. The convex portions 5 in the flocculent pulp sheet 1 shown in FIG. 1 may be uncompressed or weakly compressed, but it is necessary that the flocculent pulp sheet 1 at least have both the concave portions 2 and the convex portions 5. Examples of the hydrophobic sheet 3 used in the present invention include hydrophobic fiber webs such as polyethylene, polypropylene, and polyester, or sheets formed by carding these, or perforated films such as polyethylene and nylon. is made, the basis weight is 1
It is possible to use 40 g/m 2 to 40 g/m 2 , preferably 4 to 10 g/m 2 . These hydrophobic sheets may of course be treated with a surfactant or the like. In addition, the volume of the space 4 formed between the cotton-like pulp sheet 1 provided with recesses and the hydrophobic sheet 3 is preferably 10 to 50% of the total volume of the water-absorbing article, and if it is less than this, menstrual blood When liquids, etc. flow in, the effect of diffusion through the space becomes smaller, and the amount of liquid that can be held in the space becomes smaller. If the space ratio is larger than this, the space will be crushed during use, and the ratio of effective utilization will be reduced, so there is a risk that the original holding effect will not be exhibited. In the present invention, there is no particular restriction on the pattern in which the recesses are provided on the surface of the flocculent pulp sheet, and examples thereof include the patterns shown in FIGS. 5a to 5d. Here, the blacked part indicates the recess 2. If a water-absorbent article having a space made of two or more layers of cotton-like pulp sheets with recesses and a hydrophobic sheet is used as in the present invention, the absorption rate of menstrual blood, etc. is fast, and the product is not compressed during use. However, since there is a hydrophobic sheet sandwiched between cotton-like pulp sheets, menstrual blood, etc. are less likely to be squeezed out to the skin side, and the user will feel less sticky. As mentioned above, the present invention is a water-absorbent article having a structure in which there is a space between a cotton-like pulp sheet with recesses and a hydrophobic sheet, and the excellent liquid diffusion and retention effect is shown in the following example. It should be clear from this. Examples Water-absorbent articles of the present invention illustrated in FIG. 2 (reference example), FIG. 3, and FIG. 4, water-absorbent articles obtained by removing the hydrophobic sheet 3 from these articles, and recesses as shown in FIG. 6 A normal water-absorbing article (all areas 50 x 150 mm) made by laminating a cotton-like pulp sheet 6 and a hydrophobic sheet 3 (all areas are 50 x 150 mm) is made into a dry non-woven fabric (20 g/m 2 ).
Comparative tests were conducted on absorbency, amount of return, and wet spread of the absorbent material using a water-absorbent material wrapped in . Absorbency is the time required to absorb 5 ml of simulated blood, return amount is the amount of liquid absorbed by the paper after placing paper on the top surface and applying pressure, and wet spread of the absorber is the amount of liquid absorbed by the absorber. The wetting and spreading area was measured. The results are shown in Table 1. 【table】
